Chap 7 [slight jealousy]

3rd persons pov

After three days of walking, you guys reached your destination. (Btw you had your masks down so you can see your face)

You both looked around in awe as you were surrounded in wisteria. The light of the wisteria luminated on your face causing your e/c to sparkle. You saw Tanjiro looking at the flowers in wonder, you smiled as you find him really cute and handsome...

Then suddenly he turns to you and started to glare at you. You were confused as to why until you looked behind you.

The other demon slayer guys were looking at you, staring at your beauty. You didnt know what to do so you smile at them which caused them to blush and look away.

Tanjiro's POV

'Why are they staring at her...' I thought to myself, I didnt know why but i was angry, was i jealous?...

"Come on y/n let's go" I said holding her hand dragging her away from the eyes of those men. I looked back at them and smirked.

Your POV

I was flustered when Tanjiro held my hand, I looked at him and he was smirking, making me blush a dark red colour.

3rd person POV

Two ladies welcomed you all and explain the rules of the final selection:

(OMG PEOPLE TOLD ME ONE WAS A GUY! I DIDN'T KNOW- IM SORRY<3 But take it as y/n didnt know either since they both look like girls-)

once they finished, you all were released into the forest.

You put on both your face mask and you fox mask, you looked at tanjiro to see if he was ready. He got his sword and nodded at you:

before both of you dashed into the forest side by side.

It was night, the moon's ray reflected on your beautiful e/c eyes as you ran deep in the forest. You guys ran into some demons but you fought them with ease.

You and tanjiro stopped to rest for a few minutes and discussed on where to go.

"We should head east, it's where the sun rises first." Tanjiro suggested. You nodded in agreement as you waited for him to catch his breath.

Suddenly both of you froze, you sense another demon coming but this demon was different, it was way more powerful than an average one. You looked at Tanjiro and he seems to small the same thing.

You grabbed Tanjro's hand and pulled him behind a tree to hide him and you hid behind a bush beside the tree.

You looked into the distance and your eyes widened, there was a demon slayer running away shouting, "WHAT IS THIS! I DIDNT SIGN UP FOR THIS!" he screamed, his voice filled with fear and terror.

You waited a little while more to see what he was running from. Your blood froze as you saw a horrid looking demon with many arms, one holding a dead corps of another demon slayer.

You remained calm and tried to think of a plan. Suddenly the guy that was running tripped and fell. The demon laughed and reached one of his hands towards the guy, that was when tanjiro stepped in and cut the demons hand off.

However the demons hand grew back with ease. Tanjiro stood in a defensive POSE infront of the man.

'Run... come on.. run!' You thought to yourself, why wasnt the man running? You saw Tanjiro attack the demon, and while the demon was distracted you used your speed to get the man to safety.

Your POV

"Please run!" I said to him with pleading eyes. I could sense Tanjiro's energy getting lower, I gritted my teeth as sweat appeared on my forehead. "Run! Please I need you to run I dont have much time!" I said in a panicked voice.

The man snapped out of his daze and nodded his head, "A-alright! Thank you so much!" He said before running off.

I ran back to the scene with serious eyes with my sword out. 'Hang in there Tanjiro! I'm coming!' I thought to myself as I ran with full speed.
