Chap 56 [Death]

(Extra note: when you were fighting with that giant monster, Takashi and Tanjiro alr met Rui and now are fighting Rui together)

Takashi's POV

I grunted as I flew back a hit a large tree, I took a serious blow in the stomach and chest, now I can't breathe properly.

I lied on the ground and panted heavily, 'D-dammit... I can't m-move...' I looked up and knew that Tanjiro needed to perform a final blow. Nezuko was trapped in the webs and I knew I needed to do something.

I looked at my sword which was not to far away and grabbed it, I needed to throw it to Tanjiro because his sword was sliced like y/n's one...

But, I didn't have enough strength, Tanjiro's blow was not going to be at its full power since he lost a lot of energy... and with his half sword... I don't think it's going to cut it...

I squeezed my eyes shut, "Big brother... please lend me your strength!..." I whispered trying to motivate myself, thinking of my brother.

Then suddenly, when I opened my eyes, everything was pure white like an endless abyss. It felt peaceful, and rather pleasant.

I looked around and slowly sat up, my eyes widened when I suddenly had my energy back... I narrowed my eyes suspiciously. 'Where am I?... how did I end up here?' I thought to myself as I looked around.

"Hello Takashi..."  a voice sounded.

I looked around, "WHO ARE YOU?! AND WHY DID YOU BRING ME HERE? SHOW YOURSELF!" I demanded as I got into a fighting stance.

Then suddenly the whole place started to become brighter, I shielded my eyes with my hands, I grunted.

The voice chuckled softly as the light began to its original state.

I furrowed my brows, the voice seems only familiar...

"That's no way to talk to your elder brother ya know?" The voice said.

I lowered my arms and open my eyes, my eyes widened, "B-brother?!" I exclaimed, "What are you doing here? How is this possible? ARE YOU A DEMON!?" I said as I backed away.

*SMACK*

"OW!" I yelped in pain as I rubbed the back of my head.

"Let me talk ya know! You never even let me have a chance to explain you idiot!" He lectured me, "and I'm NOT a demon, not those ugly things..." he muttered the last part.

"Hey! Y/n and Nezuko aren't ugly!" I defended.

Yep... He's definitely my brother...

He shrugged, then sighed, he looked down, "Anyways... I'm here because- I um..." he bit his lip, "I guess its my time..." he chuckled lightly as he looked back at me with a soft, sad but loving smile.

My heart stopped when I heard that, "Wh-what do you mean?... you're not saying what I think you're saying right?..." I stuttered out with a nervous smile, I felt tears prick the corner of my eyes when he said nothing, "R-right?..."

"I'm sorry... but, you know I can't be here forever... I know its sudden but I can't prevent it from happening... it's your era now Takashi, not mine." He said to me.

"N-no... Please... I still haven't sent you money... please you can't leave me yet! I need you! Please! Don't leave..." I begged as I fell onto my knees and tears started to fall freely from my eyes, "y-your my only family you know?... mom and dad aren't here anymore... you raised me and trained me... I can't loose you to..." I whimpered softly.

I felt someone hug me, "I'm sorry... I really am, and I'm proud of you Takashi, I'm old, my injury on my chest made my heart weaker, you  already know this day would come..." my brother said, I felt him smile, "Don't worry, I'll still be watching my lil bro grow up ya know?"

He pulled back and looked at me, "Remember to take care fo yourself, train to get stronger, I'll be keeping an eye up on you from up here!" He said jokingly, however I could see that small tears are forming in the corner of his eyes.

"Just know that, I'm so proud to have you as my lil bro, mom and dad would be proud... I love you very much Takashi, I had a hell lot of fun with you and I've enjoyed every minute of it..." he said with a small grin.

I felt myself tear up even more and I began to sob uncontrollably as I remembered all the memories we had together when he was training me.

I hugged him tightly.

He patted my back and ruffled my hair, "Now, now... you're hugging me as if it's the end of the world, you're still not married yet and don't end up like me... a sad single old man..." he chuckled, "you know that y/n girl ain't bad of a choice~" he teased softly.

I blushed a little at that comment, "Seriously big bro?... you really can joke at any moment can you?..." I said as I pulled away and wiped my tears with a small smile.

"What are you talking about? But really, I do not believe in my death, I just believe its my time to sleep..." he said with a fake yawn, "Anyways, remember to have an empty seat for me at your wedding! I'll be there." He said with a wink.

I chuckled, "Alright I guess..." I muttered, not really knowing how to reply.

But then his image started to fade, I furrowed my brows frantically, "BROTHER?" I said worriedly.

He just looked up and smiled, "Ah... I guess its time for my nap..." he said with a closed eyed smile.

He ruffled my hair, "Love you lil bro, never forget that."

Was all he said when he faded away with a bright light consuming my whole vision, "WAIT! NO!" I yelled out frantically for him, but to no avail.

Then when the white light cleared, I saw Tanjiro still standing there, but I felt I still had a little strength left in me, I clutched my sword tighter.

When Tanjiro Ran towards Rui, with his half sword in hand, I called out to him, "TANJIRO CATCH!" I yelled as I gathered all the energy I had left and threw the sword at him.

He looked at me gratefully as he threw his half sword the side and caught my sword.

He gathered all his energy and made his last blow to Rui's head using his strongest move which was like a giant fire dragon that sliced Rui's head off.

I smiled, 'Its over! Thank you brother...'
