Your POV

I ran to the scene and saw Tanjiro lying on a rock unconscious. My eyes widened when the monster was reaching out to him.

"FIRST FORM: SHADOW STRIKE!" I yelled as I cut off the demons hand. "Argh!" the demon yelled in pain, "ANOTHER ONE OF UROKUDAI'S STUDENTS! HAHA WELL, MORE FOOD FOR ME!" The demon yelled as he attacked.

First form: shadow strike:

This technique is simple but effective to cut through tough things in a slash.

Your POV

I wait for the demon to come closer and charged at him, "second form: Shadow mist!"

This technique is like a hurricane, this allows you to travel around your enemy at a very high speed with black smoke surrounding them and cutting your enemy in various places without them seeing you.

Your POV

I cut the demon in various places while he grunted in plain trying swat the smoke away.

I Kept on cutting him until My eyes widened. 'I see an opening!' I thought to myself. I lifted up my sword and tried to cut the demons head of, but the demon saw me and used its hand to grab onto my neck, I choked.

'Sh-shoot..' I thought to myself as I struggled to breath in the demons grasp.

Tanjiro's POV

My eyes fluttered open to see y/n being strangled by the demon. 'N-no!' I thought to myself. I looked around and saw my sword lying nearby, I reached out and grabbed it. Luckily,the demon's back was turned.

I jumped and raised my sword,

and slashed the demon's head off.

3rd persons POV

"Wh-what? No! Impossible!..." The demon yelled in agony as he started to fade away.

Since the demon's head was cut of, the demon let go of you, luckily you managed to catch yourself and land on the ground safely.

You pant as you rubbed you neck trying to relief it from the pain when it was grabbed by the demon.

"Y/N! ARE YOU OKAY?" Tanjiro ran over to you. You gave him a reassuring smile to show that you were okay.

"Hahh.. thank god.." He said giving you a surprising bear hug, you blushed in surprise but hugged back.

After you guys paid your respects to the demon, you treated Tanjiro's wounds gently.

Suddenly your stomach growled signalling that you were hungry. You blushed in embarrassment as he chuckled, he somehow took out an apple from his pocket.

He handed the apple to you with a cute smile,

"Here y/n! I saw an apple on the ground and picked it up incase we- I mean, you were hungry!" He said, handing me the apple. You looked at him and smiled softly as you took out your sword and cut it into half.

"Here, Tanjro-kun! You need your energy too!" You said offering him the apple.

He looked at you surprised but smiled as he accepted it, "Ah, thank you, y/n! And please dont use 'kun' on me, it doesn't sound right. "

You looked at him and gave him a nod as you chewed on the crunchy apple.

Once you guys were done, you guys headed off to the east and continued your journey.

~7 days later~

3rd person POV

You guys finally reached the destination with cuts and bruises. You guys looked around and were shocked to see only 6 people, including tanjiro and you.

You guys looked at each other with worried expressions.

'Could the rest be dead?...' you thought to yourself.
