Y/n POV

I went to my room and packed my things with tears threatening to spill out of my eyes. I took a deep breath as I try to steady my breathing.

I hoisted my bag up on my back as I looked back to my room. I smiled as I started to tear up again. I walked out of my room and bowed to my mother.

She looked at me then looked away, I couldn't see her face but she handed me a necklace. I was stunned but took it gently from her hands.

I looked at it, it was beautiful... "Your father would want you to have that, now go I dont want to see your face anymore" my mother said before she went to her room.

I looked at her and sighed softly, I put the necklace close to my chest and closed my eyes. "Arigato, otou-San.." I said wistfully. And I head of.

3rd persons POV

You were walking slowly putting your worn out haori closer to your body to trap warmth, it was winter time.

You couldn't help but stare at the beautiful night sky with stars scattered all over it. Snow kissed your soft skin as you head down the mountain.

You came across a village, but no place seemed to be open for you to stay in. You sighed softly as a white puff of "smoke" came out of your mouth.

You looked up a mountain and saw a a faint glow. "There must be a house there! Maybe I can ask to stay the night..." you talked to yourself out loud.

Time skip you went up the mountain~

You knocked on the door and a old man came to answer it. He looked at you with wide eyes, he was shoked that a beautiful young girl was outside.

Your POV

I looked at the man and bowed respectfully, "Hello! My name is Y/n L/n, do you mind if I stay here the night? Sorry for the trouble..".

You looked up and saw another person coming up behind the man looking confused. His hair was reddish in colour almost the same tone as his gentle eyes. He looked at me and his eyes widened, he looked so worried.

"Of course you can come in child! Come on! Make yourself at home, we dont want any demons coming after you..." The man replied going back in to his house to prepare a bed.

The boy came up to me and asked "H-hey! Are you alright?your haori looks worn out and you look injured.." I looked at him and smiled reassuringly and nodded.

He helped me sit down and treated my wounds from where I got it from my mom when she hurt me as usual.

"This is going to hurt a little okay?" The boy said as he put a small ice pack on my eye from where I got the burn from the soup.

I didnt flinch at all, he was surprised but didnt say anything. After he was done treating my wounds he introduced himself.

"A-ahh! I forgot to introduce myself, my name is Kamado Tanjiro! You must be Y/n L/n right?.." He asked with a sweet closed eye smile, I felt my cheeks turn a shade of light pink as I looked down.

"Yes!" I replied back looking up smiling. 'He is so kind and sweet...' I thought to myself.

We talked for a little while and I asked why he was being so kind to me, he looked shocked and replied, "Isnt that how we treat people?" He asked innocently tilting his head slightly.

My eyes widened, "I've never felt this way before..." I said quietly giving him a closed eyes smile, thinking it was normal to be treated harshly.

He was stunned as he gave me a look of pity. Suddenly the man came and explain to us about the demons and demon hunters. Tanjiro laid in his bed and asked "can the demons break into houses?" The man replied "Yes, they can, now good night you need to leave tomorrow morning."

He blew out the candle in the lantern he was holding, engulfing us in total darkness. I slowly closed my eyes as the necklace's soft ray of light luminates in the darkness, giving my face a tint of blue as I slept peacefully.
