A lot of time had passed. Olivia was now twelve and had officially been an avenger for two years. Even with her doubts, schooling had been going really well. She had learned a lot and her knowledge of the world around her was much improved.
Olivia had made a couple friends her age. Every week she would go to these youth events they would hold in forest park. There were games and snacks and it was just a time to hang out and meet new people.
Olivia was resistant to go at first, but Natasha encouraged her. Of course, she loved it and she loved having new friends. There hadn't been another mission for Olivia since the attack on New York. After all the training she had done and continued to do, she was ready to take on another mission. She had no idea when it would be.
"Olivia, wake up, we have to leave now" Natasha said, barging into Olivia's room. It was 5:00am, much earlier than Olivia liked to be awake.
"Huh?" She said, not fully aware of what was happening yet.
"We have a mission, get up and meet me in the car in ten" Natasha said, leaving the room.
Olivia shot up. 'A mission? Finally!' She thought to herself. She hopped out of bed and got dressed into her new suit. The only time she had every worn this suit was for a fitting and now she would get to wear it on an actual mission.
The suit consisted of a dark green leotard with cool patterns that traces around it. A pair of black pants to slip on over it, dark green lines going down the sides. An intricate belt with her symbol on it, black boots, dark green fingerless gloves, and her dark green crown.
She looked in the mirror, a smirk on her face. "I look so cool" she said, her eyes looking towards the clock. "Crap . . ." She said, running out of the room and to the elevator.
She made it to the car and got into the passenger seat. "What took you so long?" Natasha said, pulling the car out of the garage.
"There is a lot of leather here, give me a break" Olivia said, clicking her seatbelt on.
"We're headed to the airport, because we have to fly to DC to pick up Steve" Natasha said.
Olivia nodded. After getting to the airport and flying, they eventually got into a S.H.E.I.L.D company car and drove to pick up Steve. At this point it was now 6:30am.
They drove all the way to Steve's location, parking on the side of the road. He was talking to a man that Olivia had never seen before. Natasha rolled down the window. "Hey, fellas. Either one of you know where the Smithsonian is? I'm here to pick up a fossil."
"That's hilarious" Steve said, making his way toward the car. Olivia didn't have a window of her own so she quickly unbuckled and shot her head into the front seat.
"I'm here too" she said, wanting to make her presence known.
"How you doing?" The man said, eyeing Natasha.
"Hey" she responded, her voice higher than normal. Olivia looked disgusted, watching the exchange.
"Can't run everywhere" Steve said, rolling up the window.
"No you can't" said the man as they drove off, the engine of the car revving loudly.
"So where are we going exactly?" Olivia asked, sitting back, putting her seatbelt on once more.
