"Remember what I told you, if you prep your kick with a jump before you use your powers to lift you up, you'll get more momentum and strength behind it, causing a stronger impact", Natasha stated, propping the punching bag stand back up. "Again."
Olivia stood there, her hands on her hips, sweat dripping down the side of her face and the back of her neck. They had been going at this for hours now and Olivia had about had enough. "No matter what this looks like, this is my last one. I'm at my limit. My foot hurts from kicking this thing so many times, my muscles are tired from the agility and tumbling, and I barley have any energy left from using so much magic", Olivia groaned, getting into position.
"I know you're tired, but we're going to be gone for a couple of days, so we had to get some extra training in today", Natasha stated, taking a step away from where the action was about to take place.
Olivia did her trick one last time, doing exactly what Natasha suggested. Of course she was right, the power behind her kick being stronger than all of the other attempts before it. "Where are we going?" Olivia asked, not realizing they had plans.
Natasha picked the punching bag up one last time and the two started out of the room, Olivia grabbing a rag to wipe her face and neck before exiting. "We're going to Budapest to visit your aunt Yelena", Natasha stated. "You knew about this."
"If I knew about this it would be on my calendar", Olivia snarked, entering the elevator. She was not about to take the stairs. "Why can't she visit us?"
"Yelena is stubborn when it comes to travel, and besides it's important that we visit her", Natasha said, pushing the button for the floor they lived on.
"Why? Because you never visited her prior to a couple of years ago? And even then it was by complete necessity and you almost killed each other", Olivia snarked again.
"Just please start packing up your stuff and go visit your aunt Yelena", Natasha said. Olivia just stared blankly at the reflective elevator door, the towel wrapped around her neck. "Olivia, did you hear me? Olivia..."
"Olivia, wake up", Harley whisper yelled, kicking Olivia in the side of the leg.
Olivia's head shot up from her desk and she looked over at Harley and then around her classroom. She let out a deep sigh and rubbed her face with her hands. "Ah, Olivia, glad you decided to rejoin the class", her teacher, Mr. Rodriguez said to her. After making that comment he went straight into continuing his lesson on the geographical map of Europe, but her fellow students were now giving their attention to Olivia rather than their teacher.
Olivia covered her face with her hands and leaned her elbows on her desk. She had a long night of fighting petty crimes in New York City. This was her life now. Boring missions that only ever happened once in a blue moon, but at least she was still seen as an asset and not a broken Avenger.
After class Olivia and Harley stood by her locker as she started to put her books away. The day was thankfully almost over and then the holiday break could begin. Olivia wasn't embracing the holiday season like she normally would. She spent thanksgiving at the care facility Steve was staying at. Given his age, she was surprised he was still alive, but it was good to see him. The last time she saw him was at Tony's funeral and they didn't exactly leave on good terms.
"Are you excited for tonight?" Harley asked, closing Olivias locker for her.
"What's tonight?" Olivia asked, starting down the hallway, taking Harley's hand in hers. Her last class was an art class that she loved and Harley walked her there everyday.
