Medical agents flew on the scene, carefully transferring Monica onto a gurney. They rushed her inside, wanting to check her medical status after leaving the boundary. Olivia watched them take her away as she stood next to the wall of static, hearing it crackle beside her. She stuck her hand in once more, moving it around, and pulling it back out.
"Weird" Darcy stated.
"What?"
"It isn't pulling you in" Darcy said.
"I don't think it wants me to come in. You know how it feels when you try to put the wrong side of two magnets together?" Olivia asked. Darcy just nodded her head. "That's how it feels."
"Well, don't go trying to go in there. The last thing we need is someone else stuck inside" Darcy stated.
Everyone resumed their jobs, including Darcy and Olivia. "This little corner of the room is getting really boring" Olivia stated, laying her head down on the table.
"Well, luckily for us I overheard Hayward say we're calling it a night, so Monica can get medical attention and be well rested to help us out tomorrow" Darcy said, starting to organize their desk so it was ready for their return in the morning.
"Where are we supposed to sleep?" Olivia asked, packing up her backpack along side Darcy.
"They have tents for us to stay the night in. And it just so happens that you and I are tent buddies" Darcy said, nudging Olivia playfully.
"I'm not surprised. They've kept us together since we got here" Olivia shrugged.
The two grabbed their things and were escorted to their tent. Inside were two cots, a table with some snacks on it, and a fan to keep them cool incase it got too hot for them to sleep. Olivia claimed the cot on the right side, laying her backpack beside it.
"Man, I'm really going to miss my bed tonight" Darcy said, sitting on the cot, revealing that it was really stiff.
"I've slept on worse" Olivia stated. The two got ready for bed, turning off the lights and laying silently as the sound of the bugs outside filled their ears. Olivia laid there, thinking about all of the information they had gathered in just one day, trying to make sense of it all. Now that Monica was out of the barrier, they would be able to get even more information, hopefully figuring out soon how to solve this.
The next morning, everyone was woken up bright and early at around 6am to the sound of a trumpet blaring. Olivia and Darcy both sat up in their cots, yawning and rubbing their eyes. "The trumpet playing is actually a thing?" Darcy groaned, stretching out before getting up.
When they finally were up and ready, they returned to their beloved corner of the room, and got back to work. It took much longer than the previous episodes to move on to a new episode, but Wandavision came back on a few hours after they woke up, Darcy and Olivia not missing a moment. "Alright, it's the 80's now" Darcy said as they watched the episode open with Wanda and Vision taking care of their new born sons.
"Have we identified her yet?" Olivia asked, pointing to the curly haired woman in exercise clothes on the screen.
"I don't think so, why?" Darcy asked.
"Just curious. She seems familiar to me, but I can't figure out why" Olivia shrugged. They both watched the screen in silence, but there was one thing that made them perk up. "Wait, did the twins just get older?"
