Wala naman talaga akong dahilan para hindi pa tanggapin 'yong offer ni Ma'am Romero. Naalala ko lang kasi ang isang club na sinasalihan ko. Though, I wasn't really dedicated on joining that club. I just don't have a choice since my mother forced me to join. Gusto niya na makasali ako sa debate contest. Pero kahit kailan, hindi ko naman sinubukan.

Please, I have a short temper.  Baka habang nakikipag-debate ako, mabato ko lang ng kung ano 'yong kalaban ko. And I am sure that debating isn't for me. 

I eventually decided to accept the offer about the Music club. Sayang naman talaga. It will enhance my talent. Ang problema lang, kapag nalaman ni Mommy na iniwan ko ang English Club para sa Music Club. She will do anything to make me go back to the English club. And I don't know if I could obey her unless she will put me in a no-choice situation that she often does. Pero hindi pa naman nangyayari at siguro naman ay hindi niya malalaman. 

Other thing is, Gave. Hindi ko alam kung kaya ko pa bang tagalan ang ugali niya. He's just...annoying. He hates me, and I am eventually hating him, too.

Who wouldn't, anyway?

Pero siguro, hindi ko na lang siya papatulan? Magsasawa rin naman 'yon kapag hindi pinapansin. He is making me his entertainment and it is just so annoying. But I won't give him the benefit of it. 

"So, you've decided?" Ma'am Romero asked when she saw me entering the auditorium. May meeting daw kaya sumama ako. I noticed that I was the first one who came beside Ma'am Romero. Good thing, because I need to inform her first.

"Yes. I'll accept it."

Her smile widened more. "That's so nice!"

I gave her a small smile before taking a seat in front of the stage.

"Just like what I said last time, bihira lang kitang narinig kumanta. Though, it still became the talk of the town. But I hope in this club, you will explore your talent more."

I nodded my head. "One of the reasons why I accepted your offer."

"That's good."

Natahimik din ang paligid nang makapuwesto na ako. I realized that I have to sit on the stage but it feels comfortable here in the real seat of the auditorium. Mamaya na lang siguro pag nakarating na ang lahat.

"Edi malapit na rin ang training niyo, Rhys?"

"Yeah, maybe next month."

"Si Theo, sure win na naman sa SSG election."

"Hindi rin. Matunog din pangalan ni Trujillo. Matalino rin kaya hindi rin basta-bastang kalaban."

Their conversation enveloped the whole auditorium when they entered. Si Anjo ang salita nang salita habang ang apat ay prente lamang sumusunod dito.

Umiwas na rin ako ng tingin bago pa may makasalubong na mata mula sa lima. I'm not in the mood to deal with any of them.

"Uy, Aster!"

Or maybe I wasn't a lucky person.

Hindi ko hinarap si Anjo nang marinig ang tawag nito. I continued scrolling through my phone like I am the only person around.

"Did she already accept it?" Si Theo.

"Yes," Ma'am Romero answered.

"Hintayin na lang na 'tin si Dhanna, at saka tayo magsimula," she added. 

Naupo sa mismong stage ang lima. I'll just wait for Dhanna to arrive before I sit with them on the stage.

Hindi rin nagtagal ay dumating si Dhanna na hiyang-hiya na nakatingin sa amin.
