My eyes widened, "What?! Why?"

"Dad is going to handle another branch of our company there."

"Okay..." I hesitated. "Are we ever going back?" I don't want to leave Yna, Akari, and Willem behind. Specially, Clive.

"I don't know, maybe." I nodded.

Kinabukasan, wala akong pasok kaya nanatili lamang ako sa bahay at tinapos ang mga assignments ko. The Musical Event is happening in three days and I can't wait to hear Clive's singing voice and his talents. Syempre excited rin ako para sa kaibigan ko ngunit hindi ganoong katindi na ngumingiti ako sa kilig. I rolled my eyes at myself and finished my school works within five hours. I went downstairs and got myself a milk to drink.

"How was your day, hija?"

Napaigtad ako sa biglang pagsulpot ng aking ina sa gilid ko, "Mom!" I whined.

She chuckled, "What?"

"Wala, nagulat lang ako sa'yo."

"Do you want to talk to me about something? I have all day to spend my time on you." She wriggled her eyebrows. "Baka may crush kana nga sa bagong school mo eh."

Damn you, mother's instinct.

I let out a sigh and shake my head before going to the bar counter of our kitchen and sit, Mom following behind me and sitting at the bar counter as well.

"Is it true, Mom?" I started, "Aalis ba talaga tayo papuntang Canada after this school year ends?"

She hummed, "Your father told me he wants to be with us on that upcoming milestone and you know how your father values that company and us."

"Can I stay here instead?"

Her eyes narrowed, "Bakit? May kasintahan ka na bang bata ka?"

"Hala, hindi 'yon ang dahilan ko!" Nagpupudag na sigaw ko habang pinipigilan ang pag-iinit ng aking mga pisngi.

"Hindi daw, bakit ka namumula?" She smiles, "Nagdadalaga na ang unika hija ko." Tudyo niya.

"Bahala ka na nga dyan, Mama." Pekeng naiinis na sabi ko sa kanya at nilagok ang isang basong gatas na hinanda ko para sa sarili ko.

"Come on, darling. Minsan lang tayo nag-uusap ng ganito. Huwag kanang magtampo kay Mama, ikaw pahuhugasin ko ng pinggan."

Natigilan ako sa paglalakad at bumalik sa upuan na iniwan ko kanina. Alam ko naman kung paano maghugas ng pinggan, hindi ko lang bet. Sino ba kasing nasisiyahan sa paghuhugas ng pinggan?

I spent my whole day talking about anything but that didn't mean I told her about my crush. I will never tell her.

The day of the event was pretty amazing for me, because I was new to these kind of events. My smile was wide that it made my cheeks burn. Magsisimula na ang banda nina Clive at Yna at nandito kami ngayon nina Willem at Akari sa pinakaharap. Akari nonchalantly opened a big paper and held the other part to Willem, while I look at her with confused eyes.

"Para sa ano naman 'to?"

Willem snickered, "For Yna, Akari does this every event."

I smiled and nodded before nudging Akari with my hips who smiled. "It'll make her less nervous if she sees this banner, so I always make her one."

"That's so sweet of you, Akari."

"Hmm." Akari shrugs.

"Presenting!" Sigaw ng M.C. at tinawag na ang pangalan ng banda nina Clive.
