I was beginning to get worried for Beks, she hadn't been returning my calls and she always returns my calls unless she was daggered. I didn't want to believe that Nik daggered her again and he was in Italy dodging my calls like a child so I decided to look for her myself. I went to the Lockwood Mansion and was looking around in his stuff that would indicate if he daggered her or not when I felt a presence behind me and knew it was Haley so I spoke while still looking through his things, "Go ahead, you can ask, I know it's been killing you." I heard her gasp so I turned around and sat at his desk while waiting, "Why do you hate Tyler so much?" I raised a brow not expecting that question at all, "Wasn't expecting that to be the question, but okay. I didn't always hate him. We were good friends before, but that all changed when he tried to kill me, twice." She looked shocked so I nodded my head as confirmation to her shock and asked her, "So why are you here? What brings you to Mystic Falls?" She looked down and was silent and eventually spoke up, "I'm adopted...I'm looking for my birth parents and that lead me here. I know someone who can help me get the answers that I need," I smiled, "I was adopted too. I used to live with a pack of wolves so we're really not that different. I never really had the desire to look for my birth parents though. But if that's what you're doing then if it means anything I'll always support you and help you in any way I can. With that being said I have a warning for you. If you're here to kill Nik then I suggest you change your mind, or else I will have to get involved and you're not gonna like it. I wanna be friends with you so being enemies isn't gonna be the greatest for our developing friendship." She chuckled, "Noted. I wanna be friends with you too. I know I can come off as a raging bitch..." I laughed and we continued conversing when suddenly we heard voices downstairs. I told Hail, which was my new nickname for her, that we'd talk later and made my way downstairs to see Stefan, Damon, Tyler, Caroline, and Elena all in a heated discussion. I didn't want any part of what they were doing so I turned to leave when I heard my name being called so I turned to look at Damon, "What do you want Damon?" He flinched slightly since I no longer use his nickname. He went on to tell me everything about Connor having Jeremy and Matt hostage at the grill so I looked him dead in the eye, "And why is it that I should care?" Elena got pissed off easily since she became a vampire and her senses were heightened, "What is wrong with you? It's Jeremy and Matt, not even a week ago you were best friends." I raised a brow at her, "Yeah and less than a week ago you all tried to kill me, twice. Or am I the only one who remembers that? I told you. I told all of you. I could forgive anything, and I have and you've all seen it first hand, but betray me and that is the one thing I can't forgive. You guys didn't even try. You all knew, maybe not the first time but afterward, you all knew and you deliberately tried to kill the people I told you I couldn't live without still knowing I was linked to them. You all didn't seem to care then so why should I care now?" I looked at everyone, and no one could answer, so I scoffed and walked out of the house and went back home.

Once home I tried calling Nikky one more time and he finally answered, "Hello little wolf." I rolled my eyes, "Where is she?" He was silent for a moment, "Where's who?" My eye twitched, "Don't act stupid Nik, it's unflattering. If I find out you daggered Bekah again...I promise you Nik when I find her, and I will, you will wish you were never born." After I finished speaking it was silent for a moment and despite being angry with him with a short, "Also be careful over there and come back soon. YOU'LL WISH YOU WERE NEVER BORN NIKLAUS! Alright, bye." I heard him chuckle right before I hung up and I cursed myself for making my threat seem empty, but it wasn't and I knew that Nikky knew that. A few days passed and it was filled with searching high and low for Bekah, even April was worried about her. I told her I was looking for her every day and let her know when I found her I'd let her know. Aside from my search for the blonde, things have been busy here in Mystic Falls. Today was the Mystic Falls Pageant and April was in it. I only went to cheer her on when apparently there was a new face in town, Professor Atticus Shane. He worked at Whitmore University and I overheard he had been helping Bonnie with her magic that she lost during the whole Nik dying fiasco. Speaking of, he was actually here, he was on a date with Caroline which made me feel jealous but I never showed it. Although I don't speak to Caroline any longer I still felt that Nik deserved love and if that meant Caroline then so be it. I was talking with April when this Professor Shane walked up to us, he looked at me and smiled, "Hi, I'm Professor Atticus Shane, it's nice to meet you. Nice tattoos by the way," he held his hand out for me to shake so I smiled politely and grabbed his hand, "Thank you! I'm Nova, nice to meet you too. Do I need to call you Professor or..." He chuckled and kept a hold on my hand, "Sorry, a force of habit, just Shane, please." I smiled while nodding and finally pulled my hand free of his. He cleared his throat and started speaking to April about her dad when I spotted Jeremy walking through the crowd towards us, but something seemed off about him and that's when I noticed the hunter's mark on his hand matching the ink in my skin. I excused myself and started my trek to my car wanting to just leave and go home already when I bumped into a chest and when I looked up I saw Nikky so I smiled, "Good morning." He raised a brow at me and smiled, "It's not morning, luv," I rolled my eyes, "I know that, but it's the first time I'm seeing you today so the start of you're day is in the morning, so, good morning!" He laughed a full laugh that made me smile despite feeling suspicious that he has Beks hidden somewhere, "You do have a point, sweetheart." I nodded my head, "I always do, sweetheart," he took a step closer to me so we were almost chest to chest, "And where do you think you're off to, sweetheart?" I cleared my throat, "I'm going home, I only came to support a friend." He nodded his head, "Then let's go home shall we?" He held his arm out for me to take so I raised a brow but nonetheless, I hooked my arm with his and we made our way to my car and made it to my home in record time. Like last time, a cup of tea in our hands and we spoke the whole night through eventually falling asleep together on my couch.
