The following days leading after Finn's death had Rey and I with our heads buried in books trying to find a solution on how to kill Lucien. Not only that, the Ancestors are punishing Vina by cursing Kol to slowly lose control but for now, we're leaving that up to Vina to solve. Vin and I reconciled since Vina had said she was going to fight with him to get rid of the Ancestor's and he said he'd help with Kol's situation. Nikky was slowly getting frustrated with Rey and I for not finding anything so I wanted a break. I stood up and kissed Rey on the forehead and said I was going to visit Cam just to make sure she was okay. When I arrived she was reading so I grabbed a book from her bookshelf and plopped onto her bed and started to read making her laugh, "Oh sure, make yourself comfortable," I smirked and looked over to her, "Oh, I already did, thanks." With a smile on her face, she just shook her head and continued reading before I heard her balcony door creak open making me tense. I quickly realized it was Nikky so I relaxed and continued reading and let them talk amongst themselves. He wanted to check on her and she told him how sorry she was about Finn. I bit back the tears and listened as she tried insinuating Nikky still had feelings for Aurora when he said he'd kill Lucien but he was quick to shut her down, "I don't care about Aurora. I care about you. But then, you've made your feelings perfectly clear." He looked at her one last time before leaving quickly so I put the book I was reading on my chest and looked at Cam with a look that I hope she understood. When she finally looked at me she rolled her eyes, "I don't want to hear it." I smiled and sat up, "Well too bad. I told you so. You were so afraid that he still had feelings for Aurora but I told you over and over that it wasn't true. Can't you see? He even said it himself, he doesn't care about Aurora. It's you, Cam. It's always gonna be you." She looked at me for a moment before shuffling around and dressing up After kissing me on the cheek she went after him while I told her I'd be at the compound if she needed me.
I teleported quickly to the compound and spotted Hail who was talking with Lijah so I ran full speed and practically tackled her from behind, jumping on her back, so Lijah had to catch the both of us. I laughed and gave her a slobbery kiss on the cheek, "I've missed you, Momma Wolf!" She laughed and looked at me over her shoulder, "I've missed you too, Little Mama." I finally got off and she told me about what happened when she had left with Nikky and caught me up on everything since I didn't have much of a chance to talk with her since Lucien. We continued talking when we heard the knock at the door so she got up before me while I followed and opened the door to find Cam who looked pale. I furrowed my brow, "Cam? What happened?" After inviting her in she explained that Lucien jumped Nikky and took him back to his penthouse in the city. Lijah had also received a message from Lucien asking to meet alone or he'd kill Nikky. Lijah left quickly while Cam, Hail, and I went to Lucien's penthouse to rescue Nikky but Cam was nervous and afraid. Hail asked Cam if she was really up for this so she rambled about being a liability and not able to fight despite training so I grabbed her cheeks and tapped my forehead against hers, "I know your afraid Cam but you need to stop thinking about what could go wrong and start thinking about what could go right. Or better yet, use your fear and turn it into anger. You are in control of your emotions. No one else." I pulled away and she nodded in agreement while looking at something behind me smiling, "Hey, I have an idea." She walked out of my grasp and walked toward a pharmacy while Hail and I followed suit.
