Klaus's POV

When the plan to use me as a sacrifice instead of Elijah failed I quickly left for where I knew they'd be but what I arrived to was the feeling of utter devastation. The necklace once containing Finn which we were going to put Elijah's soul was shattered in Freya's hand. This meant that Elijah was actually dead with no way to ever bring him back. When I finally looked at my brother I noticed the body cradled in his chest but what stood out the most was the fact that Nova was unmoving without the sound of a beating heart. The tears built and I slowly approached them and pulled on her shoulder gently only for her to flop on her back lifeless with a blank expression, the stains of tears down her cheeks. I shut my eyes tightly hoping when I opened them it was all a dream but it was only a fool's hope for this, in fact, was reality.

We took them both home where Freya claims she attempted to place Nova's soul in the necklace and although the necklace is shattered, Hope can feel their souls contained in it, especially Nova's. So we made a plan to resurrect them once Freya has enough power to complete the spell.

Nova's POV

When I finally came to I felt groggy and unaware of my surroundings. Before I could scan my surroundings further I heard a scream from far away so I immediately ran in the direction to help whoever was in need. Once I ran to a clearing I noticed Hail being held against a tree by someone wearing rugged clothing and blood stains all over him. I called out to her so the man turned my way and I realized it was Lijah. I was shocked but soon realized we were in the deepest, darkest part of Lijah's mind, behind his red door. In his eyes I saw recognition but before I could say anything I heard Hope's voice so I made eye contact with Hail who looked equally worried. I finally looked at Lijah and called out to him, "Lijah, I know you're in there. You need to let her go." For just a moment he loosened his grip on Hail so I nodded to her subtly. Taking the hint she sped to where we heard Hope's voice but when I tried to speak to Lijah again he grabbed me and sped us back to some sort of cottage where he intercepted Hail while still having a hold on me. I tried to hold him off but he was too strong in this state and had finally pushed me to the ground where I bumped my head against a pillar giving him the upper hand where he proceeded to bite into Hail's neck. However, there was a bright light that seemed to bring Lijah back to awareness so he took a step back and with a look of regret whispered Hail's name but she ignored him and walked out the red door.

I walked to him so he finally noticed me and saw the blood oozing from where I bumped my head. With fresh tears pooling in his eyes, he reached out to touch the wound but I grabbed his hand, "I'm okay. This wasn't you, I know that. Let's go home." He nodded his head and we walked out the door hand in hand and came face to face with Hail and Hope in a long hallway painted white. Hope ran to me and hugged me tightly which I reciprocated and noticed the hesitance in Hail's eyes as she looked at Lijah. I looked sympathetically between the two and crouched before Hope and kissed her forehead, "Go home, baby." Hail nodded in agreement, "Tell Aunt Freya it's safe to fix the pendant." I finally understood where we were and smiled at Hope one more time before she disappeared. I watched Lijah take a step toward Hail but she quickly stepped back enticing Lijah to ask for forgiveness. I closed my eyes in sadness seeing the look of fear in her eyes as she too disappeared in a flash of light.  We were left alone so I immediately hugged Lijah. Wrapping his arms around my waist tightly he straightened up lifting me in the air gently and buried his face in my hair, soon feeling the tears fall down my shoulder. I wanted to say something but I knew that there was nothing I could say that would comfort him.

We waited together but not for long because soon the same bright light had showered over us and the next thing we knew we were sitting up from the coffins we were placed in with our family surrounding us. From the bottom of my gut, I had a terrible feeling like something was still wrong but as soon as I saw Bekah I leaped up and held her tightly as she did to me before I hugged, or more like squeezed, everyone else. They informed me they were able to kill the Hollow and we could finally go back to being normal, at least as normal as it gets as an Original family. Nikky told me about Kol and his betrayal but when he told me it was to rescue Vina who the Hollow resurrected, I wasn't even mad. I called them immediately and they let me know they were on the road to anywhere.
