Nova's POV
It was the next morning and everyone was doing their own business so I stayed home with Hope and when I went to knock on her door I heard a boy talking with her whom I recognized, a jock named Roman from school. They spoke about the rumors that surrounded her, one mentioning she was a Romanian Princess and the other was she exploded an orphanage when she was eight. She even made a joke saying she in fact exploded an orphaned Romanian Princess making me hold down a laugh. I felt her emotions when speaking with Roman so I smirked knowing she had a crush on him and sped down the stairs to sit in the courtyard, waiting for her. As Hope walked down the stairs I smirked, "So tell me, baby girl, when exactly did you explode that orphaned Romanian princess? Was it before or after your eighth birthday?" She snapped her head to me so quickly I thought she'd get whiplash making me burst into tearful laughter. She ran to me so fast and covered my mouth while looking up the stairs worried Roman might have heard me. She gave me a look I knew all too well so I raised my hands in defeat but she knew I wouldn't let this go. She told me she wanted to go find her dad so I said okay and that I'd be in the bayou visiting Lisina and Henry. When I got there I knocked on the door and as soon as Lisina saw it was me she pulled me into a tight hug. I squeezed her tight and walked in to see Henry looking pale and nervous. I smiled at him and opened my arms and he got up and walked into my embrace, "Hey Hen, I heard what happened. I just wish you talked to me..." He didn't say anything and just squeezed me tighter. Lisina told me Hail promised to teach Hen self-control but I told her she's been missing for the past few days and we've been looking for her but Lisina hasn't heard from her since she came to visit the last time I called. Before we could continue our conversation we heard a commotion outside so I told Lisina I'd stay with Hen. I recognized the people who were causing the fuss were the vampire faction and I finally noticed Joshy and Mar. I told Hen to stay quiet and to calm down his heart rate and walked outside just as Lisina walked back into the cabin. As soon as Mar saw me he smiled and opened his arms so I jumped in and let him give me a big bear hug, "I take you being here as 'king' is a result of my big sister telling you no?" He looked at me with a sad smile so I sighed and kissed his chest in comfort, "Let me handle that. For now, what are you thinking? I thought you said you don't hurt kids?" I raised a brow and watched him roll his eyes at me as I walked to give Joshy a hug and stood in his arms as Mar responded, "I'm not gonna hurt him Sunshine, but he needs to be punished or this peace isn't going to last for long. He killed one of ours, a couple of years in the Garden and when he's out he'll be one of ours and we'll protect him." I looked and Joshy and Mar and finally nodded my head and put a barrier around us so no one could hear what I said next, "Okay, fine, as barbaric as that stupid Garden of yours is, I think this will help him, but I think he's hiding something. As soon as I walked in he got nervous with me. I think he knows something about Hail and I'm scared to find out what it is." Mar and Joshy nodded so we walked to Lisina's cabin and explained to her what would happen and after some convincing from Johsy and me she finally agreed to allow Mar to enter the cabin and took Hen to be buried underground for a couple of years.
