The next time I woke up I felt warmth surrounding me so when I finally opened my eyes I made eye contact with Nikky who already was staring at me so I snuggled closer and tapped my forehead against his, "What happened while I was out?" He went on to explain the events that happened while I was unconscious. They had found where Aurora was hiding and happened to find Lucien there too. Rey drawing from Lu was able to find Nikky and Lijah who were kidnapped by the Strix in order to complete the de-linking spell and it worked, Vina was able to cast the spell but only was able to unlink Nikky and not Lijah. Stef had helped Mar and Hail distract the Strix by bringing Rayna Cruz while Rey did her work finding them. Stef left, promising to call me when he could. Right now Nikky was resting because apparently, the de-linking spell caused a massive surge of energy so he was instructed to rest, "And you didn't have another bed to sleep in?" I saw him smirk, "No." I laughed lightly and just closed my eyes and went back to sleep. The next day I could hear Nikky rambling on about his enemies and how he had no doubt they'd be coming for him soon. I decided to finally get out of bed and went to take a shower because I missed everyone since I was gone and went down to greet everyone after I showered and changed.

When I walked downstairs I spotted Lijah first so I ran at full speed and of course, he heard me and span just in time to catch me, "Ah, I have missed you little one. Niklaus told me what happened. Please for all our sakes, try not to get hurt as often as you do." I laughed and told him I'd try. Rey was there so after hugging we talked for a bit before she said she had some work to do so she left and next was Hail. I helped her put Hope to sleep and she told me what she had been up to since the de-linking spell. She's been hunting down the Strix members involved with Jax's death. She already killed three of them and I promised I wouldn't say anything and told her to be careful. She asked me to watch Hope for her and of course, I agreed. Before I could talk to her more about it Lijah walked in so I kissed her forehead and walked into Hope's nursery and sat on the rocking chair and watched Hope's chest rise and fall in turn with mine. Eventually, Nikky came back home telling us about an old enemy of his, Gaspar, a family he killed the majority of because they burned down some artist retreat, Belaga, an ugly pigsty according to Lijah. I decided to stay with Hope and let Lijah and Rey speak with him when I felt Vina's presence walk into the compound so I rushed outside and spotted her walk in and yelled happily over the railing, "VINA!" She smiled up at me so I went running down the stairs when Nikky sped her against the pillar, "Rather foolish of you to come here alone." I yelled for him to stop but someone else sped in and pushed him across the room and I immediately recognized him, "She didn't come alone, brother." I felt tears spring to my eyes and I finally sped down the rest of the way and flung myself at him, "I've missed you, Troublemaker," lifting me off the ground he laughed in my hair, "I've missed you too Val." He kissed my forehead and put me down so Lijah and Nikky can greet him while I moved onto Vina and hugged her tight, "Thank you for bringing him back. And I've missed you too Vina." I felt her squeeze me tight so I didn't let go and just hugged her to my side and faced everyone. Kol looked at Freya so she introduced herself while I turned to Vina, "Long lost older sister. I'll tell you later." Kol asked for Bekah so Nikky told him it was a long story and one reserved for family. I rolled my eyes while Kol got upset but Vina told him it was fine and she'd go. I told her I'd go with her since Kol said they'd go on a date so I grabbed Hope's bag of essentials and brought her with me with Nikky's permission so Vina and I left the compound and went to St. Anne's church where Vina stayed in the attic way back when.
