I was sitting with Vin at the cemetery since we placed all the witches' bodies in a crypt. I sat near Ivy's body with tears still streaming when I decided to finally cover her body with a blanket. When I got up to walk away I heard groaning which made me stop in my tracks. I slowly turned with Vin coming to stand beside me when we realized the groaning was coming from Ivy as she slowly sat up and that's when I realized what was going on. Vin sat in front of Ivy as she spoke, "Vincent? Nova? Wha...What's happening?" Vin answered for us, "Emmett poisoned you." I watched her tremble so I covered my mouth to not let out a sob and listened to her speak, "I thought I was dead..." I shut my eyes tight and decided to answer, "Sweet Ivy...you are..." I couldn't bare to see her shocked face but before I could say anything else, every other witch began to wake up no doubt with vampire blood in their system and with a decision if they wanted to complete the transition or not. Lijah ended up coming to speak with Vin about Hope which caught me up on what was going on. I was doing my best to ignore the whispers but it wasn't working until last night they just stopped suddenly and now I know why.
Last night Lijah went to speak with Declan who was back from Ireland when Hope showed up and went wolverine on Lijah which I'm guessing stopped the whispers temporarily, by releasing her anger. If Nikky knew about this I can only imagine what he was doing with My Heart so leaving the two of them to speak I located Hope quickly and found her so when I teleported to her imagine my surprise seeing a chained-up Roman who looked like he'd been tortured. I stared at both of them until turning to My Heart, "Did it make you feel better?" She looked as if she'd cry and just shook her head before running to hug me so I teleported us back home where we sat with Nikky and spoke about the darkness spreading in Hope making it harder, of course, I knew it first hand since I've been feeling all of it. While we spoke Lijah came in telling Nikky of a plan for Hope but he didn't want to hear it so they left the room. Hope and I decided to go lie down together and talk, "How are you feeling?" I laughed lightly, "Oh my baby, you're asking me that? Shouldn't I ask you that?" She looked down, "I'm sorry, I knew that if I took all the darkness in you'd feel it too." I kissed her forehead, "As much as I hate to see you suffer My Heart, I'm glad you did it. I always wanted you to be with your father and until we figure all this out, we'll face it side by side. I promise." I watched her nod her head when Nikky finally came in and told us about the plan. Antoinette was going to lure the vampires into St. Anne's church where Hope would let it all out, all her anger and resentment towards people who deserve it if they were even considered people. We listened to Antoinette and Lijah speak to the vampires when Nikky and Hope walked through the doors and faced them as they reeled in shock from the deception. Mar also showed up and I stood by the doorway and watched Hope let out an ear-piercing scream sending out a shockwave of power and killing the last of Greta's fascist vampires. While this happened I felt another surge of power somewhere in the city and realized it was the ancestral well. I don't know why but I could take a wild guess that Vin and the witches somehow severed the bond between witches and the ancestral well, changing magic forever, for what I don't know. For now, it was something that had to wait knowing I didn't want to face seeing the witches and Ivy die since I knew they'd never complete the transition.
