After what happened with Frederick and Stefan drinking from Lena he's been staying home and missed almost a week of school. He said he was "working on it" but I knew that something was wrong. Before Stefan fell asleep on my lap that night he told me about his ripper days in the 20s. He said it was Lex who helped him get on the animal diet and off of human blood for over nine decades now. I knew he was struggling. He told me he was afraid of hurting Lena but I told him he should just be honest with her. Lena had called me last night and told me what happened with Stefan, he wasn't able to control himself but he luckily threw himself back into the wall, breaking her lamp, and ran home. She asked me if I could sleepover so I said yes and went over. She told me her Uncle John was in town, who apparently no one likes but I didn't get a chance to meet him even though I was over. After we had gotten ready and got into bed we talked about what was happening with Stefan and what we could do to help. She suggested calling Damon in the morning so I told her it was up to her and she said she would so I said okay and with that, we went to sleep.
Elena's POV
After discussing it with Nova I decided to call Damon over in the morning. I let him in and we went to my room but Nova was still sleeping under the covers. I watched as Damon walked to the bed and laid down next to her and wrapped his arms around her, "Rise and shine babe," She opened one eye and looked at Damon, "Mmh, five more minutes Day," Damon kissed her on the cheek and I looked away feeling awkward seeing them like that until I finally heard shuffling and turned to see Nova get out of bed. She walked to me and gave me a kiss on the cheek good morning which made me smile when Damon piped in, "Where's my morning kiss." Nova rolled her eyes, "You're not getting one." She stuck her tongue out at him and went to leave, but Damon sped in front of her and stopped her in her tracks, "I want my kiss Angel," Nova said no and went to walk away again but Damon tackled her to the bed and tried to kiss her, but Nova held him back screaming in laughter, "Lena! Help!" I laughed, "What do you want me to do?" Nova struggled for a while longer and called out, "Uncle! Uncle!" and finally, gave Damon a kiss on the cheek and he spoke with her lips still on his cheek, "Speaking of Uncles, did you know your Uncle's been kicking it with the Founder's Council." I was shocked, it wasn't something that I needed to deal with right now on top of everything on my plate. Nova went to change in the bathroom so I spoke with Damon about Stefan. I was getting frustrated because he wasn't taking it seriously, but after Nova told him to knock it off he did which made my heart twinge that he only ever listened to Nova. We talked for a bit about what was going on with Stefan and what scared me the most was what Damon was saying made some sense. He left with Nova who promised she would check on Stefan and call me so she could keep me posted.
Nova's POV
After leaving Lena's house I followed Damon all the way home where we found Stefan day drinking. I was worried because I knew the reason he was drinking was that alcohol curbs the cravings. Damon went to go to his room while I walked up to Stefan and grabbed his face in my hands and placed my forehead in his, "I'm worried about you Stef, we all are," Stefan grabbed the back of my neck and closed his eyes, "I know, I'm working on it. I just need a bit of time." I pulled away and looked at his eyes, "Okay, if you're not feeling okay then come to us, don't hesitate, okay?" He nodded his head and we spoke for a while longer. Damon somehow convinced Stefan to go to the Founder's Day 150th Anniversary party. I wasn't gonna go but Stefan begged for me to go so I finally agreed and went to go and change. Learning quickly just how many party's going on in this town I had bought myself a couple of extra dresses.
