With her eyes still on her wristwatch, (Y/N) was having a fast walk to go down from the long spiral stairs of Ravenclaw Tower. She was not, in fact, late, however, as a Ravenclaw for three years, she had this habit of running to the library for around ten to fifteen minutes after getting breakfast.

And so here she was, she hopped down the last stair, turned to a corner, and run through a corridor, turned right once more and was soon met some early students going down to the Great Hall as well, this includes some Slytherins and Hufflepuffs who just came out of the dungeon and the basement.

She didn't stop to chat, however, she nodded and smiled to whoever said 'hello, (Y/N)' as she run pass.

Finally, with a final breath, she had reached the Great Hall, and noticed that it was packed with a couple of students on each four long table. She also noticed Cho and Luna waving at her at the Ravenclaw table.

(Y/N) waved back, traipsed in between Gryffindor table and Ravenclaw table to reached them.

"Why are you late?" asked Cho as (Y/N) sat down in between her and Luna. "You usually get here before me."

"Had a late night talk with Padma." said (Y/N), reaching the bottle of marmalade.

"Padma? You mean Parvati's twin?" asked Luna.

"That one."

"She's pretty, isn't she? Like Parvati."

"Obviously, Luna." snorted Cho. "They're identical twin, for Rowena's sake!"

(Y/N) grinned as she spread a spoonful of marmalade on her toast. She took a bite and looked around the hall.

The Great Hall was as astonishing as (Y/N) had ever seen it. The sky was in its usual bluish and cloudless view that perfectly suit the moderate temperature of the hall.

She looked up at the staff table where she saw their Head of House, Professor Flitwick, conversing with Professor McGonagall. It looked as though the conversation was rather serious because they had been speaking in whispers. The same thing was happening in between Professor Sinistra and Professor Sprout. Professor Snape was eating alone but he kept on glancing around the hall suspiciously. And in the midde of the staff table was Professor Dumbledore. He looked serious while peering around the hall as well.

"Cho? Luna?" called (Y/N), tearing off her gaze from the staff table.

"Hmm?"

"Yes?"

"Why's the professor's looked so serious?" she asked, nodding smoothly towards the staff table.

Cho and Luna looked at each other.

"Didn't you hear the rumors?" said Cho apprehensively.

(Y/N) furrowed her eyebrows.

"What rumors?"

"Someone was murdered yesterday." said Cho in a whisper. She looked around the Ravenclaw table for a possible eavesdropper but thankfully, the other Ravenclaws were too far away from them. "In the Hogwarts Express."

"What? Are you serious?" said (Y/N), looking aghast.

"It's in the bathroom at the end of the corridor we are in." said Luna, sounding serious as well. "You know, the large crowd you were saying? Apparently, someone saw the body on that bathroom."
