[••• ––– •••]

Hogwarts seemed to have changed in (Y/N)'s perspective as she and the rest of the seventh-year students entered the Great Hall, all of whom were in complete school uniform and being followed by a group of sixth-year students.

(Y/N) bid a temporary goodbye to her friends in other Houses, Draco with the usual hug and forehead kisses, before she went straight to the Ravenclaw table with Padma, Toni, and Jill on either side of her.

"What's with the new look, (Y/N)?" Toni whispered to the Heather girl as they waited for the Sorting to end. "Are you trying to move on or something?"

(Y/N) smiled.

"You could say that." she said, her hand on the necklace that was hidden under her collar.

"What do you mean?" Jill inquired, leaning closer.

Padma stared at (Y/N) as though she was someone whom she never noticed before. Then, as if someone had brought a light on her head, she blurted;

"Don't tell me you and Harry —"

"Broke up?" (Y/N) chuckled. "Yeah, we did."

Her dorm mates gasped and gaped at (Y/N), who only grinned at their reaction to this and stared up front. She tried her very best not to look at the Gryffindor table at all costs.

"Why?" asked Padma. "Out of a sudden? Just like that? You — you broke up?"

"Hmm." (Y/N) nodded. "Just... like... that..."

"I don't understand, (Y/N)." Toni commented. "This isn't something about what happened last June, right?"

"Not exactly." the Heather girl answered, abandoning the idea of ignoring the looming questions from her friends. "He wanted space and so I gave him."

"That's harsh." Jill said, twirling her fingers in her hair.

"Don't say that. It's his decision. I was just being understanding."

The three girls looked like they wanted to ask more but with the way (Y/N) ignored their eyes, they knew that she didn't want to entertain more questions. They, instead, turned to the Gryffindor table to see if Harry was there.

"Hey!" Padma suddenly said. "I heard that there's a transferee student again. Was that her?"

She pointed to someone at the staff table.

When (Y/N) turned, she saw the familiar blonde-haired girl she had met on the train hours ago. She was standing beside Professor McGonagall, who was holding a parchment, and, (Y/N) noticed, was trying to curl her hair with her wand.

(Y/N) didn't answer and looked away. She didn't know but with a single glance at her, she could already feel her blood boiling. She still remembered how the blonde girl pursued to meet Harry through her. She should admit that she already disliked the girl the moment she set an eye on her. She just couldn't figure out the reason behind it.

"Where do you think she might be?" Jill wondered openly, her hand on her chin.

"As long as she's not in Gryffindor or Ravenclaw." (Y/N) answered even before she could stop herself. "I might flip a fucking table if she does."

As she said this, Professor McGonagall called for the blonde girl;

"Aurelio, Elaine!"

Elaine, the fucking blonde-haired, walked towards the stool. She was enjoying herself as she sat down, probably liking the idea of all eyes upon her.
