[••• ––– •••]

The following week was pure uneasiness and queasiness for the group to face. First exam was Potions in Monday. The morning was filled with entire murmurs of memorization upon potion instructions, added ingredients and its uses and amounts and sizes for everything.

Harry had completely given up trying to remember everything he had read from (Y/N)'s complete copied notes at the end of the written exam and personally asked his girlfriend about the things he had forgotten that was in the exam. After knowing what he had missed (about a dozen of questions), he knew he was done for. Especially that Snape personally was choosing students for Potions N.E.W.T.s and only those who would get an 'O' in their O.W.Ls will take the subject. And by the looks of it, from Harry's perspective, he wasn't going to attend any Potions class any longer, which will fully destroy his Auror dream.

"Think positive, Harry." (Y/N) had said after Harry had told her what he had been thinking after their written exam. "Just think of Snape's reaction once you've received an E in Potions."

"He'll be furious." said Harry, grinning as Snape's livid face propped up on his mind.

Potions practical exam was no better, if Harry had to be honest. Just thankfully, Snape weren't there to breath on his neck as he mindlessly put different ingredients into his bubbling cauldron, whether it was an essential ingredients or not, he maximally didn't thought of it. At the end of it, the only thing he was thinking was that he had done his best.

Tuesday's exam was Care of Magical Creatures. Harry didn't seem to fail this time because he knew he had done well. They were supposed to identify the knarl hidden among a dozen hedgehogs. Then they also have to demonstrate correct handling of a bowtruckle, feed and clean a fire-crab without sustaining serious burns, and choose, from a wide selection of food, the diet they would give a sick unicorn.

Wednesday morning was dedicated for the Astronomy written exam. Harry was not convinced he had got the names of all Jupiter's moons right, but was confident that he hadn't put any wrong terms he had once put in his essays. Of course, their practical exam will be held in evening so the afternoon was devoted for Divination.

He knew he was bad enough to enter the exam, and this certain thought became personally real because it went very badly. It was a complete fiasco and when he told everything he had did in his exam to (Y/N), she was laughing all the way up to her dormitory. It was really funny as Harry had predicted that Professor Marchbanks were supposed to be dead the previous Tuesday using palmistry.

At night was the practical exam for Astronomy. Harry supposed it went perfectly right. He had stationed all the stars and planet that was in the sky on his chart yet he didn't know if he had labeled them right.

Last day of examination was on Thursday, yet Harry didn't have anything to do by morning but to wait for (Y/N) outside the Great Hall while she, Hermione and some more were taking their Arithmancy exam with a History of Magic notes on his hands.

"How was Arithmancy?" asked Harry the moment (Y/N) and Hermione caught up with him.

"I did great!" said (Y/N) happily. "And I think Hermione did great too, right?"

"Yeah, I think so." said Hermione grimly while looking over Harry's shoulder. "Ron's not with you?"

"He's in the common room." said Harry, tucking his notes on his bag. "He's taking a last minute reading for History of Magic."

"Thanks, Harry." Hermione said. "I might need a last minute reading too. See you later, (Y/N)... Harry."

She waved at them before weaving her way up to the Gryffindor Tower. Harry looked down to (Y/N) and stole a kiss on her lips while she was pulling her notes from her bag. She looked taken aback as she glanced up to Harry with her wide shocked eyes.
