*Bucky just recieves the best birthday gift ever (more like a gift for us😛)*

As Sam laid next to Bucky, he remembered what Bucky said earlier, "I trust you." Sam knew it was a big deal for Bucky. He didn't just trust people that easily. He got up to take a shower.

Bucky had fallen asleep at sometime. He woke up to an empty bed. Nothing new for him. If anything, it comforted him. As he sat up and the sleepy haze began to fade, he remembered who he was with just an hour or so ago. It was Sam. Shit, did he fuck up? Being with Sam made him feel good, but he didn't want to screw up the friendship between the two for a booty call. He should've thought about that before.

As he got up from bed and went to take a shower, he heard the water running. Bucky tried to open the door but it was locked.

"Give me a minute. I'm done."

Oh! So, Sam was still here. Well that's a relief.

Sam got out of the shower a few moments later and found Bucky leaning against the opposite side.

"Oh hey, Aurora."

Bucky flipped him off. And asked, "Where'd you get the towel? I didn't have it."

Sam shrugged. "Well duh. You don't have anything, you weirdo. I bought it with the other things."

"Why the fuck did you buy towels?"

"It's called accommodating for guests. What if you have guests over?!"

"Who do I know here, Sam? Nobody! Why will I have guests?"

"Well, what if I wanna stay over? You don't know me?"

"You live 10 minutes from here, Sam. Whatever, thank you for buying all that stuff. I'll pay you soon."

"You don't have to. They're gifts."

"Man, you bought cutlery, towels, and a shit ton of groceries. And I think, I even saw bedsheets. Yeah, I'm not taking so many gifts from you."

"Oh, it's not all from me. Sarah chipped in and few of the others. We always welcome new neighbours with gifts. Oh, they're also expecting you to host some sort of an event."

Bucky groaned. He hated people. Sure, the people in this neighborhood were nice, that's the whole point of buying a house here, but that doesn't mean he's suddenly social. He used be social in the 20th century, but this is the 21st.

"Hey, you don't have to, if you don't want to. It's not a necessary thing."

"I want to. I just don't know if I can handle organising all that."

"Well, I can help."

Bucky looked at the wall clock and back at Sam. "You got here about 2-2.5 hours ago. We got nothing done. I'm not sure how much you can help."

"And whose fault is that?"

"Mine."

Bucky grinned before walking into the shower. Sam smacked his ass on his way in.

"I can still kill you, Birdie."

"Hey, no terms of endearment."

Bucky rolled his eyes. He just wished they'd get the work done before the rest of the Wilsons arrived.

After Bucky finished showering he went to the kitchen and found Sam humming to himself as he moved around the kitchen.

"Are you wearing my shirt?"

"Yeah, mine was smelling funky. So I put it in the washer."

Normally Bucky hated people touching his stuff but Sam was a different case. He liked the fact that Sam didn't care to be overtly formal. As he stood there watching Sam doing his thing, Bucky felt something weird in his stomach. He knew that if he didn't get started on work immediately, they were going to be really late.
