(Steve and Nat come back. Mentions of BuckyNat and SteveNat.)

Sam couldn't understand why Bucky insisted that they visited his grave or why it even existed anymore.

"Just listen to me. I need this and I'd rather go there with you than alone. But it's fine if you don't want to come."

Of course Sam couldn't let him go alone to a place like that. Sam remembered how Steve had joked that he became Captain America the moment Bucky had introduced him as such and Sam would need Bucky's approval to become the new Captain America as well. He didn't realise how true that was. Sam didn't feel nearly as confident to use the shield as he felt when he opened Bucky's gift. The new Captain America suit enforced what he already knew, he has a responsibility towards the world and his insecurities were insignificant in front of the fight he was fighting for his people.

They had been sitting near the grave for about an hour when something electric began to cackle. Sam put his hand on his watch and was about to suit up when Bucky stopped him.

After a few seconds of electricity crackling, two figures came into view. Sam couldn't believe his eyes. But Bucky looked like he knew.

He walked up to the two of them. Natasha Romanoff and Steve Rogers. But he had just visited Steve in the retirement home and Nat was...

Bucky ignored Steve as he waited for Bucky to hug him. Bucky pulled Nat into a tight hug.

Sam knew Nat loved to hug everyone. But he didn't think that would extend to the former Winter Soldier. But it wasn't a normal hug.

Nat jumped up into Bucky's arms hooking her legs around his thighs making him chuckle. The way they looked into each other's eyes, felt like a lover's embrace.

Sam looked away ignoring the dread in his stomach. He walked up to Steve who kept staring at the two.

"Hey, Steve."

Sam's voice grounded Steve as he turned to look at the man who had given up the stable life he had just because Steve needed help. Steve pulled Sam into a hug and Sam chuckled.

"Easy there, buddy. You're gonna crush my bones."

Steve pulled back, "Sorry."

They turned to the pair of former assassins. They were smirking at each other and the way the stared at each other made it seem like they were having a thousand conversations at once. Until Nat eventually blinked and buried her head in Bucky's shoulder grumbling, "I hate you."

Bucky's grin didn't falter as he replied, "You know you couldn't win a staring contest against me. Why do you even try?"

"I will defeat you one day." She huffed, face still buried into his body.

"I thought you two hated each other." Steve questioned.

"It's complicated." Nat replied.

"Why is he here, Tasha?" Bucky asked. His voice emotionless.

Nat narrowed her eyes,"I could ask the same thing, Jamie."

Bucky shrugged. "Sam keeps me from murdering people and also keeps me out of jail."

"I don't think you needed me today." Sam's words came out harsher than he wanted to. But he covered it up with a teasing grin.

Bucky tapped Nat's legs and she let go of him. Bucky walked up to Sam and hugged him from behind. He placed his chin on the veteran's shoulder before answering, "Trust me, I'm very close to murdering someone. I just don't want you to see how ruthless I can actually be."
