Avengers oneshots (Mostly SamBucky)

Zaddy Zemo

(An AU where Bucky is the sugar baby of Zemo and Sam is assigned to protect Bucky. Because I still can't get over SamBucky with Zemo in Madripoor.)

Bucky was used to the attention. He'd always enjoyed being the centre of attention of both men and women. Some boys even accused him of being the reason they were attracted to men. Bucky took that as a compliment. It's not like anybody dared to bully him, he was more than capable of shoving bullies thrice his size into the nearest trash can.

Things changed after Steve got the serum. But only a little. Even though he wasn't the centre of attention, he was still pretty close to the centre. Even during his HYDRA days, he attracted a lot of attention. So much so that they had to put a muzzle like mask on him and goggles too. But there were still a couple scientists and heads obsessed with him. They didn't feed him enough but they took care of his hair and looks. It was hilarious to him once he found a way to cope with his pain with the help of humour.

After he had broken free of HYDRA's brainwashing, he had to survive somehow. He'd kept himself afloat by selling his services as an assassin on the dark web. That was until his recent most client made a lucrative offer to him.

"You're gorgeous, James. I have an offer for you."

"I'm not sleeping with you. I don't offer those services."

"Well I'm not asking for just that. I want to date you. I will issue a credit card for you. Treat yourself to whatever you want and in return I just want you to be my pretty arm candy."

"You want to date me? Why don't you speak clearly. You want me to be just your sex slave."

"Oh, you wouldn't be treated like a slave. Quite opposite actually. You would be treated with nothing but respect. I will even hire a bodyguard for you."

"A bodyguard for an assassin?" Bucky chuckled at that thought. "Yeah right. More like a handler."

"I understand you have been through pain."

"You don't understand shit, kid."

"I know enough, Winter Soldier."

Bucky glared at the cocky man in front of him. The man did have a certain charm. And it would be nice to have some stability. So he agreed.

Baron Zemo has always been a little impulsive. Oeznik didn't think much when his master brought an unknown man home. He was rather happy that his old friend was trying to make new connections. Zemo was barely functioning after his family died in a car crash.

Bucky still had reservations about this man who insisted on calling himself his sugar daddy and it didn't make sense to the assassin. Bucky was more than twice his age. Bucky figured as long as he didn't have to call him that, he was fine with whatever the guy called himself.

True to his words, Zemo treated the assassin with respect. He had a room cleaned out just for his new guest. Zemo issued a credit card for Bucky that very day.

"Feel free to buy whatever you want. Don't worry about the cost. I have contacted an agency, your new bodyguard would be here tomorrow."

Bucky nodded. He felt weird with the whole situation. He needed a place to hide for a little while, HYDRA was getting too close for his comfort. Maybe having a bodyguard wouldn't be that bad.

Sam needed money to support his sister and two nephews. She was already working full time while being a mother of two. There family's boat was in a state of decay. The siblings figured they could take care of their family, but kids' education is expensive. Sarah's income and Sam's military benefits weren't really cutting it. But he was done working for the government, so he signed up with an agency as a bodyguard.
