Janelle POV
I sit in the chair as Philk reads the information on the tablet.
Philk:So, I took what Enigma told me about the tests ran on her. They implanted a similar chip that's in Khalil's mind in the base of your spinal cord it's not as important as Khalil's but none the less, now she said that they did transfusions that allowed the nanotechnology to be able to blend and cling to the white blood cells in your body.
Khalil:How bad of a problem is that? I know they help with the immune system.
Philky:Very, white blood cells are basically the bodies bodyguard, and I ran some tests on her blood, it's also in her red blood cells and the plasma. Not surprising but...
Donald:Why would they implant it in her blood system and spinal cord?
Philk:Janelle's body is always updating, which means it rejects and tears down what's not needed automatically, if it sees it as a threat it breaks it down.
He sits my chair up and I pop my back.
Khalil:Like my venom.
Philky:Exactly.
Donald:Okay so her body is basically always on guard.
Philky:Yes which is why I think they chose her spine rather than her brain. Because her body would break down whatever they've placed there, and but because of how sensitive the spinal cord is and what it can do besides keep you standing straight it's a good place to set up a chip that the body won't attack. Not to mention nothing was wrong enough for her brain for it to be left alone, but her spinal cord must've had some damage to it for her body to heal around it and leave it alone.
Khalil:So we can't remove the chip?
Philky:Seeing where they cut and how it healed? Man it's already a problem for us to even remove it, the best spinal surgeon may not even do it because it's too risky seeing how it's not a immediate risk to her health. And we aren't even sure what may happen to her if we remove it and if we do, how much damage has already been done to her body and how it will react to it not being there.
Me:That's my only worry... What if I am better off like this? I mean Enigma hasn't been a problem it was Rogue she had the same kill order as Painkiller and I haven't even heard from either.
That's not true, Enigma is hot about Painkiller, I haven't seen signs of him and I think it's bothering her.
Khalil:You can't stay like that if it could possibly hurt you.
Me:I mean seeing how many safety precautions they put in place to make sure what ever they did to me sticks it scares me to know what failsafes they placed in my body, like when Odell had a shut down word for Painkiller.
Khalil:You were there that night?
I swear I can't get used to that question, I look at Philky.
Me:Yeah, but you get what I'm saying? I can't risk that, I don't need the ASA locking my spinal cord or blowing it out of my back because we touched it.... But at the same time I can't let them have that control over me.
Khalil:Yeah but-
Me:You don't get a say in this, especially when you did what you did...
I get up and walk upstairs, I wash my hands and clear Benson to go back to where he came from before I start to serve drinks, I see Philky appear next to me. He gently elbows me and I look up at him.
