Enigma POV

I readjust my thigh holster when Painkiller walks in. I automatically straighten my back before snapping my fingers the sparks flying from the collision.

Painkiller:Are you some kind of Pyromaniac?

Me:A Pyromaniac has to set fires to feel happy and joyful. I on the other hand just like them. I find them soothing, like a sunset or the ocean.

He makes a hum sound when soon Odell is in our ears telling us the address. I look at him before walking out.

When we get outside of the house, I allow him to break down the door. I slice the man's throat who was once in front of the door, Painkiller shooting the two men who are standing. I throw the blade lodging it in his throat, I hear some coming from upstairs when I pull my gun shooting each in the head, once it gets quiet I look around. I raise an eyebrow to Painkiller and he nods before reporting back to Odell. I grab a small vial from my pouch, I hold it in my palm watching as it ignites I throw it into the steps and I direct it up the door up the ceiling of the patio before I turn around we walk off.

_______

When I listen to Odell tell us about the next mission I wince at some pain in my head.

Odell:Are you okay Agent Enigma?

Me:Yes sir.

Odell:Do you feel like something is wrong?

Me:I am fine sir just a small random pain sir. I'm fine.

Odell:Alright. You are dismissed this is to be done as soon as possible.

Us:Yes sir.

When he walks out I feel Painkiller grip my arm I frown and look at him.

Me:Is there a reason for you grabbing me?

Painkiller:Are you sure you are able to complete this mission?

Me:If I wasn't I would not be here right now.

Painkiller:Do not slow me down.

Me:Even on my slow days, I'm faster than you.

I snatch from him before walking off.
___________

I pull my hand away from his chest as I allow oxygen to slowly fill into his lungs the man looking already exhausted before we came.

Me:Are you sure that's all you can tell me?

Painkiller:You know at some point, death comes for us all, and when that time comes, though we yearn for love, all were left with is pain.

Me:A person will do more to avoid pain than to achieve anything else in this world. Knowing this, the greatest gift that anyone could ever give is to take that pain away.

Painkiller:And lucky for you, they call me Painkiller.

He grips the man's shoulder as dark green venom webs its way up his face and neck. I shake my head and we walk on to the next truck.

Me:You know your name is actually quite tacky?

He looks at me before scoffing.

Painkiller:And Enigma isn't? What makes you mysterious?

Me: It must be alot seeing as you're always asking me personal questions.
