Thanks so much for the 1.1k reads!! I love y'all- h

For the next five weeks, Fury and Tony thought it would be a good idea to keep me off of missions. Ross was still riding their asses about me, but I don't care. He was just another fragile man scared because I could do his job better than him.

At least, the team had my back. They didn't tell me I was wrong for getting angry or wrong for saying certain things. They probably hated Ross way more than I ever did right now. That's good. At least, we see eye to eye on something.

The compound was quiet at 2:00 a.m. Normally, everyone woke up around 3 or 4, but I would catch these little moments when everyone would shut up, and I could finally hear the world outside. Well, aside from Bucky snoring. Yet, it wasn't my choice tonight to wake up. The blankets were heavy as usual, yet this time they felt stuck to my skin. The sweat was pouring off my body as I kept having this dumb dream.

I was talking to a woman, which I presumed to my mother. I told her I was tired and that I need sleep. She nods, and I walk into my apartment. Then, I see Bucky, only his eyes because his mouth was covered. I called out to him, but he stared me down and took out his gun. I wrapped my fingers around it, and then, he pulls the trigger, leaving me to die.

Yet, that's not the weird part. Where he pulls the trigger, I have a scar there. I can't remember specifically how I get that scar or when. Not only that, now and then, there are these moments where I get these flashes of images. It's only when I see Bucky, and then, my nose starts to bleed. Nothing else causes this. Only him.

"It's three in the morning," Bucky mumbled, rubbing his eyes. He placed his right arm over my thighs in a sigh. "Why are you awake?"I pilled the covers back over me as I laid down beside him. "I couldn't sleep," I whispered. His eyes opened fully, looking at me before softening. "It's too hot in here, and the bed's too small," I grunted.

"No one asked you to sleep in here anyway." He chuckled, pulling me into him. "Well, you were the one who fucked me and asked me to stay." He smirked and then dropped the smile after a second.

"You got a point," I laughed and looked out of the window

"You got a point," I laughed and looked out of the window. God, it was pretty outside. "Carter would kill for this view," I mumbled, "Before I started working again, we would spend hours out in the snow. She never wanted to go inside."

Bucky smiled, "She sounds like my little sister. Back then, she dragged me everywhere. She was so curious about the world it drove me insane." I smiled and looked at him, "I didn't know you had siblings."

"Yeah, back in the 40s. Her name was Rebecca." Bucky closed his eyes and sighed, rubbing my arm. "Well, if she was anything like her brother, I'm sure I'd like her."

He chuckled, rubbing the arm where most of my scars were. Just little dots made from needles, I think. I don't really know how I got them. Just like most of my scars. "Was it a nightmare?"
