|Y/N|

My name is... My name is...

It was a short name. No, it was long, right? And it was pretty and nice. What was it? What?

I fell heavily against the cage. The space was cramped and cold. My eyes couldn't tell if it was day or night outside. It was a dark room with only crackers and water for me. Whoever they were, they shut me away. If I disobeyed any order, they would...

Getting out of here is my only option.

There was nowhere for me to go, and I felt like I needed to escape. I didn't even know who I was. Every time I looked in a mirror, there was a new face staring back at me. My perception was completely distorted. Sleeping is difficult for me without feeling tortured. As a result, it's more difficult to distinguish between what's real and what isn't. I didn't feel like I was actually attacking the Avengers when I was sent. I felt like I was controlling a character in a game.

My harness appeared through the open door, and a short woman stepped inside. As she approached the cage, she opened it. When I stepped outside, she fixed her grip on my muzzle.

"Despite your efforts, you didn't get the girl, Amethyst, and you didn't kill James Barnes."

Barnes, James. When I escape, look for James Barnes. Seems like he's important.

"What," She frowned at me, "Cat got your tongue.' She sighed before turning on a light in the room. Then, she walked over to me, loosening the muzzle, "I kinda off miss your sarcasm and your cussing, but you stepped out of line. You ran away with the Avengers, and left Hydra for the real killers." Her face dropped when she looked me in the eye.

"It's time to show the world what Hydra really is. No more hiding in the shadows." She placed back on my muzzle and harness. "General Ross' friends are dying off, and he's next. Cut off one head, and two more take its place."

|Bucky|

The memory probing procedure, or memory restoration, as Bruce described it, wasn't easy. There was only one way to make this work: if the person and the person doing the "spell" shared a history. If I wanted to get Y/N back, I needed to go under. Wanda will subdue us both with her magic. Once she's subdued, I'll reveal our shared past. Everything. From the 1940s to when we lived in Wakanda.

I had to put myself in the mindset of the Winter Soldier.

"Bucky," Steve called out to me. As I flipped Y/N's file close, I looked at him. "Yeah?" I asked.

"Did I interrupt something?" I shook my head. "You're fine, Steve. I was just thinking." He nodded and folded his hands on his chest. "Hmm," he said, opening the file and laughing. "I remember one time when YN came over. We convinced her to go riding with us on the old, rusted motorcycle her dad had."

I nodded, continuing, "And she ended up breaking her nose. She snapped it back into place like it was nothing." Steve chuckled softly. "She's a strong woman."

"Yes," I said, lifting my shirt, "I have the bruises to prove it." I sighed and let down my shirt. "Are you sure this is something you want? I mean, you had so much progress. No more nightmares or paranoia. If you go back to that mindset, all that work was for nothing." Steve spoke in a hushed tone. He focused his eyes on me as if begging me. I turned away.

I bit down on my tongue. "Her love is what drives me. I would do anything for her." I was the one pleading this time. "Like you did for me, Steve, do the same thing for her." He hesitated before nodding and smiling.

As I glanced back at the papers, I nodded and said, "Let's hope this goes smoothly."

General Ross looked into the camera, nodding to us. Then, he went back to work. Well, not technically Ross. It was Tony, just in a face covering pretending to be him. General Ross was somewhere on vacation.
