i'll be yours forever

Y/N Y/L/N is ok with her life. She kills those who deserve it, and she protects those who can't protect themselves. Nothing can beat it.
Yet, when her latest recuse mission lands her on the Avenger's radar, she gets dragge...
"Are you going to tell me what you're thinking about?" James pushed my shoulder with a smile. I shook my head and said, "Not in public."
He nodded and pushed me into an alleyway. I sighed. He loved to pull these dumb stunts, knowing that anyone could see us. Lord if they did...
"Your thoughts that dirty, huh?" James looked down at me with that stupid smirk.

"How long you got?" I nodded towards the tawny uniform. The mood shifted immediately. I shouldn't have mentioned it. As soon as the words left my mouth, his eyes dim and glossed over.
"Couple of days." He whispered and pulled us farther in the alley when voices came walking by. "I'll be back before you know it."
"I'm not worried if you come back." I rolled my eyes. "I hope you never come back. I hope you find the girl of your dreams out there and get married that way I don't have to put up with you for the rest of my life." I glanced up at him with a grin.
"You talk too much, doll."
I nodded and tilted against the wall. The night air ran past my arms, and I shuttered. "You should get back to your date," I mumbled, swaying from in front of him, but he pulled me back.
"You know I wish things were different. That way we didn't have to hide in alleyways. We didn't have to pretend we don't know each other when certain people come around." James grabbed my hand and pulled closer to him. Closer than friends should be.
"I wish this was our forever." I cocked my head to the left and gazed at him.
"What?"
"I imagine in another lifetime we ended up together. We were the ones spending forever together, but I guess we'll have to settle for this one."
I studied his eyes, and how they danced in the moonlight. Perfect midnight blue orbs twinkle with stars in them. It felt like I was seeing them for the first time, and wanted to for a thousand more.
"Bucky," I smiled, "I swear I'll be yours forever until forever falls apart." I stood on the balls of my feet and kissed the side of his cheek. Close enough to his lips that I could feel them threatening to kiss me back.
I pulled away and stared at him. He lifted his pink to me, and I wrapped mine around his. "Til forever falls apart." He grumbled back.
With that, I turned away from him. He went back to the carnival and the rest of his life, and I went home and to the rest of mine. I was only steps away from my house when an arm snaked around my shoulder. I laughed as the grip out tighter.
"Bucky, stop," I mumbled. "Another forever remember?" I smiled up at him. Yet, the smile I had before went too fast.
