My mouth gape open as I stare at the finalized invitation for my debut. I can't believe Mama literally put this. I mean, I told her s'ya na ang bahala sa sequence ng mga iyon and I just told her everyone that I'll invite, but Vincent as my escort?!

"I'm really sorry Vince, si Mama ang nag lagay sa'yo. Hindi ko pa naman nai-spread 'yung invitation, just tell me you'll back out, I can tell Mama—"

"No, no, it's alright Callie," he chuckles as he holds my shoulder.

"It's not. Your girlfriend might be there, I think her family's invited—" he cut me off again by laughing.

"It's alright. I'll be your escort, or maybe you want someone specific to be your escort? Perhaps Matthias Leon?"

"Hindi 'no!" Tumawa lang ito kaya napaayos ako nang upo. "But really Vince, I can tell my mom to just change my escort if you're uncomfortable,"

"Callie, it's okay. We broke up..."

"What?!" He just nods and I just felt terrible.

He loves her so much, I know. How come they broke up...?

"Tine?"

Agad akong napaayos nang upo nang makita si Leon na papalapit sa'min.

"Oh, I don't wanna meddle with this," Vincent chuckles before standing up. "Don't worry, I'll be your escort on your night," he smiles and pats my head before leaving.

"Escort?" Si Leon na s'yang nakaupo na sa pwesto ni Vincent kanina.

Tumango lang ako habang kumunot naman ang noo n'ya.

"For my debut,"

"It's been decided?"

"Yup,"

His brows furrowed even more as he stares at the invitations on my hand. I unconsciously glance at it too before looking at him. He stares at me too before raising his brow.

"You're not planning to give me one?"

Agad akong napangiwi. Hindi ako nakasagot at natigil pa ang paningin sa kamay kong may hawak noon. Should I give him one? Aside from I'm sure Tito Marcelo already have one, I don't think he'll come naman...

"Bakit? Pupunta ka ba?" I slowly look up to him.

"Huh?"

"Uh... You never attend on any of my birthdays, I just think you won't attend. So, why would I give you one...?"

Umawang ang labi nito at napaayos nang upo.

"Pupunta ako."

I look at him with doubtful eyes.

I really doubt it. I open up this topic before, but he still didn't attend on my birthday party. Parang ayaw ko nang umasa pa kasi mage-expect lang ako na darating s'ya, pero MIA na naman.

"I will," he uttered.

"Are you sure? Lagi ka namang nawawala pag birthday ko na, I don't think you'll make it..." I cleared my throat. "Okay lang naman. I understand you maybe have to go somewhere," tumango pa ako sa sarili.

I'm literally convincing myself. Not him.

"I said I'll attend your debut, Tine. Now give me one," he said more firmly.

Nakanguso ko pang iniabot sa kan'ya ang isa. Still contemplating my decision.

I already scan all the names on it, he's my 14th rose. Hinintay ko ang reaksyon nito habang binabasa ang nasa loob ng invitation. Habang tumatagal ang oras ay mas lalo yatang kumukunot ang noo n'ya kaya bahagya akong sumilip kung anong binabasa n'ya, pero sinarado n'ya iyon bago ako bigyang pansin.
