"Remind me again how we ended up in the countryside?" I half hissed while competing in a staring match with a cow. I heard Chris sigh beside me, and I turned to see him glaring at me.

"I lost track of direction." He repeated for the umpteenth time. My eyes widened, impressed by the fact that he'd managed to put up with my snide comments for this long. It had been an hour since we got lost, and I've been insulting him since the start.

"When you said 'drive till we don't know where we are'," I crossed my eyes and bucked my teeth, impersonating his accent. "I didn't mean we should drive to the ends of the Earth!" I flailed out my arms, exasperated. "If you wanted to do cross-country driving, you could have just said!"

"Don't act like you didn't have a say in this. If I recall, you were the one who said 'lets do it'," he crossed his eyes, bucked his teeth and imitated my accent. I had to resist bursting out laughing at his poor attempt at a London accent. "So don't put all the blame on me, Ms Diva."

I rolled my eyes and crouched down beside the cow.

"Hello Mr cow. Do you think you can give us any directions to the closest form of civilisation?" I asked, slightly hoping that the cow would give me an answer. Instead, the staring match between us continued as the cow chewed on a piece of grass.

I felt Chris's body heat against my back and his chest rumbled as he spoke. "Acacia, the last time I checked, cows were females, not males."

I elbowed Chris in the gut, no longer enjoying his warmth against me. "As if that's really relevant right now." I grumbled.

Most of me was amazed at Chris's stupidity. The whole time we were driving, he said he had made an imaginary Hansel and Gretel trail in his head and he would know exactly how to get back. I just rolled my eyes, sat back, and told myself I could regret this idea later.

And I was sure as Hell regretting it now.

And to make matters worse, there was no phone reception in this no-man's-land.

Chris went to lay down on the bonnet of his car, resting his arms underneath his head. Minutes passed as I glared at his face. He looked so calm, like we weren't lost, with no means of communication. Maybe there was a good aura where he was laying. Envious of his comfort, I sauntered towards his car and lay down on the bonnet beside him. The hard metal of the car was surprisingly comfortable, and I could then understand why Chris was so calm. A small, serene smile flitted across my face, as I soaked in the sun which was directly above us.

"I hate you." I whispered to Chris, still smiling. Chris shifted so that he was on his side, facing me, with his head propped on his arm.

"I hate you too." He smiled back. Be both started laughing, knowing that it was a serenity induced comment.

I stopped laughing and crinkled my eyebrows, remembering something. "You said you was having a crappy day today. Do you want to tell me what happened?" I asked, figuring that we may as well make use of this time.

Chris's smile slowly melted off of his face, and his jaw set. He averted his eyes from mine and he looked towards the cow that was still staring at us.

"I'm sure you don't want to know." He half mumbled.

"Hey, Chris. If I didn't want to know, I wouldn't have asked." I lowered my head, trying to catch his eye.

He looked up and made eye contact with me. "But you don't even know that I'm a celeb-"

"Oh, get real Chris. Of course I know who you are. I'm not that stupid, and I don't happen to live in a cave either. I was just winding you up all this time. I thought you would have figured by now," I burst out, bemused by his foolishness. "Gosh, you really are dense." I immediately clamped my mouth shut, finally realising that I had just inflated his ego.

"Aha!" Chris bellowed, making the cow scamper away as he leaped off of the car bonnet. "So you did know! All this time, you made me feel like crap," he leaned back on the car, taking a deep breath and running his hands through his hair. "And you knew."

I chuckled, raising my arms. "Ta-da!"

Chris gave me a side glance and raised his eyebrow. "You're a good liar," He mused. I smiled lightly at his comment. "That isn't necessarily a good thing."

"Well it has it's perks," I shrugged, not exactly understanding what I meant by that. "Now stop avoiding the question and tell me what happened."

Chris's head hung low again as he sighed deeply. "It's a long story."

I looked around us, to see stretches of grass and land in our surroundings. Not one building in sight. Unless you can count the battered shed. Or the cow. "I think we have all the time in the world at this point."

Chris chuckled lightly, nodding his head and leaning back on to the car to face the sky. I continued to stare at him, waiting expectantly for him to begin talking.

"Well you asked for it."

Goodness gracious.

I thought Chris and Acacia needed a bit more subtle spiciness, so added in a 'we got lost' scene.

Hope you enjoyed this one and you enjoy the next one even more!
