Seven- A RiftThe radio in the kitchen played quietly as Pan did some school work on the island. Gohan would be out for the night since he had a conference near the border of East City, so Pan would have the place to herself for the night. She wasn't scared, but she did feel lonely being all alone.
There was a tap on the living room window before Pan heard it opening. She grinned and turned around just in time to see Trunks walk in.
"Honey, I'm home," he grinned.
"Trunks!" Pan jumped and ran to him. He caught her effortlessly and picked up off the ground. "What are you doing here?" She asked as he sat her down.
"Want me to go back home?" He teased as he raised an eyebrow.
"Don't you dare!" She grabbed his arm and held onto it tightly. "You said you had several meetings earlier. I didn't expect you to come here is all."
Trunks smiled, "well, my meetings were shorter than I thought they would be, and I thought I'd come and see you."
"I'm glad you did," Pan smiled as she pulled him to the kitchen.
Trunks picked up a pamphlet for a Thai restaurant downstairs. Pan loved that one because it delivered up to the apartments. "Hungry?" Trunks raised an eyebrow.
Pan could feel her mouth watering already and nodded her head. "How long are you staying?" She asked Trunks as she glanced at the clock. It was only a little after 5.
Trunks shrugged as he looked up at her. "Gohan's gone tonight, right?"
"Mhm," Pan nodded with a small frown.
"Well, I could stay here tonight if you want me to," he told her. "I'll sleep in the spare bedroom, so you don't have to be alone."
Pan felt her cheeks growing warm. She had told Trunks once when Gohan was gone that she didn't like being by herself. He had stayed on the phone with her all night, and she had fallen asleep talking to him.
"You'd do that for me?" Pan asked him.
"Of course," he laughed. "Plus, it's Saturday tomorrow so we can hang out all day," he smirked.
Pan felt herself buzzing with excitement. "Yes!"
Trunks ordered the food as Pan finished up her homework. A knock on the door got her attention, and she furrowed her eyebrows as she closed her books. No way was the food done already- Trunks had ordered enough for a small family. Pan opened the door, and her eyes widened in surprise to see Yuri standing there.
"Hey," he smiled at Pan.
"Hey," she smiled back. "Want to come in?"
"Thanks," he stepped in. "Gohan's gone tonight, right? I ordered some movies I thought maybe-"
He stopped as Trunks entered the living room, and Pan glanced between them. They had always been polite to each other, though their interactions were still a little awkward. Yuri had confessed that he was a little intimidated by Trunks, but he did like him. Pan had to assure him that Trunks was a good guy; it just took him a while to warm up to new people.
"I'm sorry," Yuri laughed. "I'm interrupting you guys, aren't I?"
Pan glanced at Trunks, and his lips twitched. "Nah, you're cool. I just came over to give Panna some company. It looks like you had the same idea."
"Yeah," Yuri nodded. "I got some movies," he opened up the back on his side. "You guys want to watch them?"
"Yeah," Pan nodded as she took the movies from Yuri. "This saves me from ordering some," she grinned. "Have you ate?"
