If Bella had to find something she really wasn't a fan of at work, it was the occasional staff meetings. They usually included a run-down of things, just catching up, seeing how everyone is holding up. While it was understandable why they needed it, Bella couldn't help but wonder how much nicer it would've been to spend that hour napping. Like that morning. Chief Hunt called a meeting for all the attendings for nine but said nothing. It led everyone to believe that this would be just a normal catch up. At least, everything started out that way.

"I had to rearrange some of your surgeries, so check the OR board for any changes," he told the room. Bella mirrored one of those miniature dog-dolls that people put in the back of their cars as she nodded along at everything Hunt said.

It would've been fair to say that she was exhausted. She chose to stay last night to help out with a huge pile up not too far from the hospital but as she sat there, holding her head up while also leaning into April's arm, she was regretting working overtime. The on-call room with the soft pillow and warm blanket was calling her name. Shouting it. Begging Bella to use already.

"I have one last thing to say," Hunt continued. "Some of you, uh, may run into Arizona Robbins today. It's her first day back. So, if you see her, just make her feel welcome."

"Or maybe..." Dr Torres spoke up, looking down before she addressed the room. "Maybe just don't make a big deal at all. It might be better."

"Noted. Thank you," Hunt replied.

"Arizona Robbins... Head of Peds, right?" Bella asked April quietly while poking her arm that rested between them on the chair.

"Yes. Now, stop poking me!" she whisper-shouted at Bella, who chuckled a little bit then sighed. Fighting her eyes. Fighting the exhaustion that spread through every tiny part of her.

Not even the room moving could make her want to get up. Though, thankfully, it appeared that the Chief had more to say so she didn't have to start her day just yet.

"Oh-oh, hold on," he put one hand in the air, looking at everyone. "Um, most of you are aware that a group of doctors have filed a lawsuit against our hospital."

Bella's head moved. That's what it took her to get up and sit properly. She let out a quiet, "What?" but no one paid attention to her as Hunt carried on.

"Some of you may be wondering what this all means and how it's gonna affect our staff," hell yeah. "I'd like to be clear. It doesn't... at all. Let's just let the lawyers worry about that. That's their job," he emphasised. "Our job is to continue to work together and support each other in giving the great standard care that we have always given. Let's not let something like this get in the way of that. Thank you."
