[BELLA LEDFORD]
Seattle, Washington˚*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚
April Kepner and Alex Karev gave in their resignation letters and with some back and forth between sorting their living situation out, they were gone in a month. Bella found this ridiculous, considering that April was in her last couple of weeks of her pregnancy but she didn't have much of a say in the matter. The baby would be born hours and hours away, but she supposed they wanted it that way. Start completely new and whatnot.
She did not speak on the matter once April and Alex were gone.
In other news, Jackson Avery caught the flu. Much later than everyone else, and he got it so bad that he had to take a week off to cure himself. Thanks to this, Bella could rest and allow her flare-up-feelings that seemed to come knocking on her door all the time to subside in his absence.
As a result of this, however, Bella Ledford found herself without friends at lunch, but she managed fine with a book clutched in one hand, and her sandwich in the other. Usually, she preferred to annotate the hell out of the things she read, but given the situation, she had to go without her highlighters and sticky tabs.
For as long as she remained without her trusted circle of people, Bella didn't think anything could improve her mood, unless someone came into the hospital with their skull split open and their brains leaking through the cracks. In the mood to fix up someone's life, to be the Neuro God, she believed herself to be, a month after her friends' departure, it almost felt like she spoke it into existence.
A rather thick file awaited Bella's presence at main reception which was confusing at first because she didn't expect to receive anything. No one had informed her of any cases being sent over. Not for her, not for Shepherd, who, by the way, decided to take a step back from operating to focus on his brain mapping project with the President.
Standing around, Bella had a little snoop. The files came addressed to her, so she felt more than welcome to open it and find that everything it contained belonged to Dr Nicole Herman. Seeing as Ledford had some things she needed to send off, she put everything back into the envelope and signed off on the forms, wanting to get back to her office to look through the envelope. It seemed all too interesting.
Paying complete attention to the information she had to give in order to make sure the files would be sent over to the right people, the sound of Arizona Robbins asking about a delivery for her managed to pop Bella's little focus bubble.
"It might've been addressed to Dr Ledford, actually," as the words left her mouth, the mentioned doctor glanced up and found the blonde itching her face, looking around suspiciously.
Bella placed the black ballpoint pen back into her top left pocket then slid the filled-out form back to the nurse. She cleared her throat and said, "They did, in fact, send me a very chunky file," showing her presence that Robbins seemed to have missed. The blonde turned around with a tight-lipped smile and her eyes dropped down to the yellow envelopes.
