2 years later. Colby's room. Night.

Colby got under the sheets, yawning.

I smiled at him and kneeled down "are you tired?"

Colby nodded "mhm."

I gave him a kiss on the head before walking over to the door.

Colby "Cata"

I turned to him "Yes"

Colby "who's Nick?"

A shiver ran down my spine.

I froze "what?"

Colby "who's Nick? Well, Nicholas?"

I walked over to him, confused "where did you get that name?"

Colby "papa told me"

Me "and what else did papa tell you?"

Colby "that Nick is a bad man. That he took you from papa. That he hurt you"

I looked at me hands.

Colby "are you okay? "

I nodded, looking at him "yes. But do me a favor forget the name ,okay? Nick's in the past, he doesn't matter anymore"

Colby nodded.

Gomez's office.

I walked in "are you kidding me?!"

Gomez looked at me annoyed "I am on the phone right now"

Me "hang up the god damned phone"

Gomez looked at me.

I raised an eyebrow.

Gomez said into the phone "gotta call you back. Unhappy wife"

Then he hung up and leaned back in his chair "what happened now?"

Me "how dare you to talk to Colby about Nick?"

Gomez shrugged "so? I just told him a story"

Me "you told him lies"

Gomez shook his head "no"

Me "you told him Nick's a monster."

Gomez "are you really standing there, telling me I am wrong for calling a man 

who kidnapped you, threatened you, hurt you, forced you into a miscarriage, a monster"

I put my hand on his desk and leaned over to him "coming from the man who slaughtered his own wife's family because his feelings got a little hurt"

Gomez "are you still on that?"

I scoffed, shaking my head.

Gomez shook his head "you think your father deserves your tears? He sold you out to me, Cataleya, like you were nothing. "

Me "you slaughtered my whole pack, David. I saw the bodies"

Gomez nodded "collateral damage"

I scoffed, hurt "and ripping my brother's heart out was also collateral damage, huh?"

Gomez "it was self-defense"

Me "what the hell was the point of you even defending yourself? You wanted to die! To complete the damn transition"

Gomez leaned forward "you set my house on fire"

I nodded "yes, we did. Don't act like you didn't deserve it after what you did that night"
