I stand at the steps of the school as I wait for Kayla to come out. The bell rings ad kids of all ages come rushing out the door.

I stare into the crowd for Kayla and then I see her walk out talking to Jessica. She notices me and says bye to Jessica and comes running over.

"Mom what are you doing here?" She asks.

"I decided that it's time you and I make regular magic lessons. So I was thinking every Monday we have magic lessons. Is that alright?" I smile at her.

"Yes oh yes!" She cheers hugging me. I hug her back and kiss her on the top of the forehead.

"Now. Let's go home and you can drop of your bag, and then we're off to my vault" I smile at her.

"You vault" she stares at me wide eyed.

"Yes I thought it was time you saw it. Henry first saw it around your age" I smile at her.

She smiles as we get in my car and rice down the streets of Storybrooke to my house. We get out and Kayla goes running into the house to drop off her bag. She then comes running out again huffing and puffing.

"Bags on the counter. Let's go" she says out of breath.

"Alright. Let's get going."

~.~

I pull up in front of the cemetery and Kayla gets out of the car.

We walk through the cemetery to where the entrance of my vault is. Kayla was taking everything in.

"Are you ready?" I ask. I was even excited.

"Ready as I'll ever be" she says.

I walk up to the large tomb and open the door. Kayla and I walk inside as she looks at the large tomb.

"This is your vault?" She asks a little disappointed.

"Of course it isn't" I smile at her. "I just want you to remember one thing, what's underneath always has the bigger importance."

She looks at me a little confused before looking on the ground. She then spots the scratch marks and moves to the other side to push the tomb.

"This is magic lessons. Use magic to move the tomb" I say before she could push it out of the way.

She steps back and thrusts her hands forward. The tomb slowly moves out of the way and you can see the hard concentration on her face to not mess up. The stairway starts to show and Kayla's face lights up but for only a second till it goes back to concentrate.

The whole stairway shows and Kayla lowers her hand and smiles at the stairway.

"I did it!" She squeals.

"You did. Now would you like to see my real vault" I laugh.

Kayla nods and I walk down the stairs, Kayla following close behind me. I reach the bottom and take a left to go to the main part of the vault.

I walk into the middle as Kayla stands in aw at the things on the wall, and the large wall of boxes. I stare at them not really wanting Kayla to know what was in there.

"We're there-"

"Yes" I cut her off.

She stares at the dull boxes and runs her fingers along the once beating heart boxes. I gulp as she says "Are there-"

"Not anymore" I cut her off once more. I got rid of all the hearts when they stop beating. Since I never, well, restocked, the last heart just faded and all the boxes became empty. I kept them all up to remind myself what I can be like, and what I shouldn't be like. It reminds me to try hard and not become what I was, what I will never be.

She stares at them for a little longer before saying "Well that was in the past. What you are now is an amazing mother and amazing mayor. So what she we do first?"

I smile at her words and then say. "So today I thought that maybe we could work on spells, and no curses."

Kayla chuckles as I turn and pull out a book from the shelf behind me. I plop it on the table in the middle of the room and flip to the correct page.

"Ah here we go" I smile pointing on the page. "The reversing spell."

"What?"

"The reversing spell. One drop of this and any spell placed on you will be gone" I smile.

"Does it work with curses?" Kayla asks looking at the page closely.

"Unfortunately not. A drop in your skin will reverse any spell. A curse is placed upon the land. So when I set off the Dark Curse" I swallow at the mention of my past, "everyone in the land was sent to this world. I did not place individual spells on everyone."

"Alright. So the difference between a spell and a curse is that a spell is placed upon a single person and a curse is placed upon the land" Kayla says.

"Not exactly. A spell can also be placed on an object and then passed to many different people. Say the water that we drink had a spell placed upon it and anyone who drinks it will loose all their hair" I smile. Kayla giggles. "If anyone drinks the water that has a spell on it, then they will have the curse also."

"Okay. I get that" Kayla nods.

"It's not very difficult to understand" I smile at her.

"Okay to this reversing spell, what do we need to do?" Kayla asks.

"So first we're going to look at the spell. Some spells already come in a form and you just need to add to it. This one however, you must start from scratch" I say turning. I go digging through a chest and pull out the acquired ingredients. "Let's get started."

~.~

"There you go. One perfect reversing spell" I smile at Kayla.

She wipes the sweat off her brow and sits back in her chair.

"That was a lot of mixing. I feel like my arms are going to fall off" she says.

"Now I know you'll never be a cook" I giggle.

"How do you know if it works?" Kayla asks standing up and looking at the bottle containing and glowing purple substance.

"There's always to tell if a spell works. In this case, the liquid should be glowing and you should see small little air bubbles in it. Is it glowing?"

"Yes" Kayla says.

"Is there air bubbles?" I ask.

"Yes" Kayla replies.

"Then you know it works" I smile at her.

She leans back in a chair before jumping up and hugging me. "Thank you."

"For what?" I say shocked.

"For teaching me. I feel the magic inside me and I want to learn, how to control it and everything. Different spells and curses and I'm happy that on Mondays it will be lessons. It will be our day" Kayla says burring her head in my chest.

"Our day."
