When You Remember

Chapter 6- Regina

Kayla has been acting weird lately. Ever since last night when she told me about her history project. I don't know why but when ever she asks about her dad, it's like a blanket covers my memory. The only thing I know, and the only thing Kayla knows is that her dad left when I found out I was pregnant with her.

I walk down the streets of Storybrooke walking towards the Sheriffs office. Emma called me in this morning for some major reason, it's not like there's a Wicked Witch who's apparently my sister that's terrorizing the town.

I walk into the Sheriffs office and see Sunny laughing while Hook pretends to a what Sunny likes to call a Prisoner.

"Oh please let me go Sheriff Sunny" Hook pleads.

"No. You did a very bad crime" Sunny laughs.

"And what was Sheriff Sunny?" Emma asks her squatting down beside her.

"He stole my Barbie" Sunny pouts.

"You mean this one" Hook smirks pulling out a doll from his jacket.

Sunny screams and sticks her arms through the bars to get the doll back from Hook.

"Let me go and I'll give you the doll" Hook smiles.

Sunny whips to around to Emma. "Please let Daddy go!" Sunny pleads.

Emma hands Sunny the keys and she unlocks the door. Hook hands her the doll and Sunny pushes him back in to the cell. She locks the door. And laughs.

"We had a deal!" Hook says surprisingly shocked.

"You still stole my Barbie!" Sunny laughs.

"I think Daddy would like to be let out" Emma says scooping up Sunny.

"Daddy isn't allowed out" Sunny shakes her head.

"But Daddy is going to take you to Olivia's" Emma says.

Sunny's eyes widen in joy as she says "let Daddy out! I want to see my friend!"

Emma puts Sunny down and unlocks the cell. Hook walks out and grabs Sunny's hand. The two walk out the door heading for the car.

"Thanks for coming" Emma says once she sees the car pull away.

"Any time, now what's this major issue that the Saviour couldn't handle?" I smile.

"Regina this is actually quite serious" Emma says.

My smile falls as I look at her concerned.

"The marry men have been able to keep the creatures in the forest but their growing by the minute" Emma says walking over to a map.

"What creatures?" I ask.

"Belle took the barrier down."

"What!? You never told me this! Even though I'm not the mayor anymore, I deserve to know these things!" I shout.

"Yes Regina but please focus on this. The barrier blocked anyone from leaving, correct?"

I nod and let her continue.

"Well, all winged monkeys, shadows, and sea creatures are all here. Everyone we ever faced, everyone we ever kicked out of town is back. Someone is controlling all of these things and we don't know what" Emma says.

"Does this mean Zelena, Peter Pan and Ursula are back?" I ask.

"Actually no" Emma says walking around the table. "They are very much dead but someone else are controlling these things. Someone we don't know or suspect."

"Well just get Belle to put the barrier back up" I say like it's obvious.

"That's the thing" Emma says pointing to a place on the map, "their here now and the only area that they are coming from is here."

I look to where her finger is pointing and see the old mansion, the one where Henry found the empty story books. The place where Emma almost lost her magic.

"The barrier went around the town, not just the mansion. We aren't able to get into the mansion. A barrier is around only the mansion and things are able to come out, but their not allowed in."

"Well what are we going to do?" I ask.

"I was hoping you could have any suggestions" Emma looks at me. "We are only getting the three creatures, shadows, flying monkeys, and Ursula's walking squids. We think that someone is controlling their, well, minions from inside the house."

"Where are the merry men now?" I ask.

"Their holding off the monkeys. The Shadows and squids are staying near the house and only the monkeys are attacking. We don't know what they want, but we're willing to find out" Emma nods.

"Take me to them."

Emma, Hook and I walk through the woods towards the screams of men and monkeys.

"Regina, see if your magic can do anything, but we need you. Stay behind a little and try not to get hurt" Hook looks to me.

"Sorry, but I can't promise anything" I say ducking under a branch.

"We're here" Emma says from ahead of us.

Hook and I run over to her and pear through the trees, and Emma wasn't kidding when she said monkeys.

Merry Men were running around shooting at swarms of monkeys. The monkeys were screeching and batting their wings rapidly as the lungs at the men.

I look around and see one man, the one who confronted me at the diner. The one who swore he knew me, but I didn't.

He shot a crossbow at the one monkey and it went falling to the ground. He gave off a small smirk as one was heading towards him from behind. He didn't notice.

I stepped from the trees just as Emma yelled my name. I threw my hands in the air ready to strike when an ear piercing monkey scream filled the air. Everyone dropped what they were doing and covered their ears. I looked up and saw the monkey about to attack the man frozen and only the beating on his wings moving.

The shriek stops and we all look around. All monkeys were frozen, only their wings moving and they were all staring in one place, and that one place was me.

The monkeys all turned and flew away back towards the mansion.

"Regina are you okay?" Emma yells running up to me.

The man had his eyes solemnly on me. His eyes full of love and desire, what it looked like it was for me. I stare back at him till Emma shook me out of my daze.

"Are you alright?" She asked.

"Yes I'm fine but why did they leave?" I ask.

"It looks like they were maybe scared of you" Hook suggests coming up beside Emma.

"I don't know but why they left is irrelevant, we need to get to safety before they come back" Emma says ushering me and Hook back towards town.

I turn and look at the man one last time before disappearing back into the trees. I feel like I know him, I feel like he was a major part of my life, but I just can't remember.

Hello dearies,

Sorry for not updating in a while. I just got back from an amazing school trip and had no time to write. My friend, Kayla, has been bugging me for like forever and I just couldn't take it anymore so I went home and typed as fast as I could to finish this chapter so her annoying rage will end.

So a tip on the next chapter, yes it probably popped up I posted TWO chapters instead of one. This chapter will be in an Unknown POV, just to let you know, so flip the page and continue!
