Rēginā
I sit in Mary Margret's apartment as she hands me a cup of tea.
"Had a ruff day?" She asks.
"Ruff is an understatement" I sip out of the steaming cup.
"I understand. You just want to keep your children safe" she leans on the counter and looks over towards Neil and Kayla. The two are laughing as they play a game of table tennis off to the side. I was surprised they were able to fit the table in the small apartment.
"Well keeping her safe has turned out to be a lot harder then it seems. Snow she's been able to do things I've never taught her and that I couldn't do. She defeated my mother Snow" I lean across the counter towards her.
Her eyes move from the two kids towards me and takes a sip. "I'm getting worried Regina. Cora's escaped and Sheila being evil, it must be so hard on Henry."
"I haven't talked to him yet. He keeps distancing himself from me and Kayla. I don't even know where he is now" I sigh taking a sip.
"Call him" Mary Margret says. "See how he's doing."
"Maybe later but now I have to get down to the hospital and see what's happening there, I heard Killian ended up there" I say putting the cup down.
"I'll be here" she shrugs.
"Thank you by the way for everything" I smile at her.
She gives a warm smile back to me and I turn and head out the door. Once the doors shut I turn and bring my hands up, coursing the magic through my veins and into my hands. I light purple glow goes around the apartment and disappears as the protection falls into place.
I turn on my heel and head downstairs to the hospital not expecting to see something horrible.
~.~
Everything was quiet. There was not a single sound to be heard. There were no nurses to greet you, no distant screams of pain or urgent screams in the background, just silence.
I take a step forward cautiously, my heel making a clicking sound that echoes across the room. No one was in sight and it was starting to worry me. I checked down in the basement first, no one in any room and no nurse at the desk. I then checked at the different patient rooms coming up empty handed. Lastly was the large room that was chaotic last time I was here.
I step slowly into the room, turning the corner fast to not let myself down. Mg heart was racing as I expected to see a person or anyone but there was no one. The hospital was completely silent.
"Regina?" I hear a distant voice.
I stop in my tracks and turn to see Robin standing there staring at me.
"Robin" I sigh in relief and fling myself into his arms. He strong arms wrap themselves around my small frame holding me for the brief moment we have together. That brief moment of pure bliss where everything seemed to fade away.
"Where is everyone?" He asks pulling away from the hug.
"I was about to ask you the same thing" I say.
"Let's go find them" he tangles his hand in mine.
We walk out of the hospital and down the streets, finding everything quite silent. There wasn't a person or working car in sight. Absolutely no one. We walk into Gold's shop, the small bell above the door making a little ring.
"Gold?" I call out looking deeper in the shop. Even though Mr. Gold was locked up we still kept him in his shop, with no magic and being bound to never leave again.
