Chapter 22- Kayla

"Welcome home" my Mom says as she opens the door.

"Mom I was only gone for a day" I shake my head at her.

"A day can be a long time in the hospital" she smiles.

"So it's Monday" I smile.

"Yes it is and we just came back from a night in a hospital, I don't think it would be smart to do lesson today" Mom says dropping her bag on the counter and going to grab a glass of wine.

"Mom I'm fine, honestly" I try to persuade her.

She stares at me for a while before saying "Fine."

I squeal only to be cut off my her again. "But we're only doing small things, no fireballs."

"I'm okay with that just as long as I get to learn something" I smile.

"Go have a shower and get dressed and then we'll leave for my vault" She smiles.

I give out a shriek and run up the stairs straight to the bathroom to have the quickest shower I've ever had in my life. I strip off my clothes and Chuck them into the hamper and jump into the shower. The hot water hits my body and I sigh. I haven't had a shower in three days and this feels good.

Snapping back to reality, I wash my hair and my body in record time. I jump out and dry off, wrapping a towel around my body. I run into my room and grab the first thing I see, which is a pair of jeans and a minty coloured sleeveless top. I chick them both on and run into the bathroom to pull my hair up in a tight bun on the top of my head so the water doesn't drop down my back.

I run down the stairs to see my mom talking to Robin at the door. At the moment I walk down the stairs, Robin pulls my mom into a passionate kiss and I mentally vomit inside.

"CHILDREN!" I scream. "CHILDREN!"

My mom pulls away from Robin and stares at me with disbelief before bursting into laughter.

"See I told you" she breaths out.

"What?" I ask smiling.

"Your mother said that as soon as I kissed her, you would walk down the stairs. I said otherwise" he smirks looking down at my mom.

"Yah well I'm here now" I smile opening up my arms to show my mom it's time to go.

"Okay well Robin and I are about to go out for a nice dinner with the Jones so I called Jessi-"

"Wait you said we were going to have lessons today" I said a little shocked.

"Yes well you just got back from the hospital and I think it would be best to just chill" my mom says staring all googily eyed at Robin.

"You promised me first" I said a little angry that's she's just throwing me off.

"Yes well plans changed" she giggles as she looks at Robin.

"Stop pretending to be a hopeless romantic and look at me and tell me that you would rather spend time with your boyfriend instead of your own daughter" I say most sternly.

"Kayla just stop. I'm going out with Robin and that's final" my mom smiles still looking at Robin.

"GOD DAMNIT!" I scream. "LOOK AT ME!"
