Chapter 7: The Accident

        (Siwon) 

        He sat quietly in his tree, eating the rabbit he had just killed and cooked. He was alone, he was strong, he did not need allies. It wasn't that he didn't want one, but in the end, only one of them could win and by having an ally it would make it even harder. Like it wasn't already hard. 

        By nature, Siwon was a very friendly, warm person. Now, all alone up in his tree, he felt lonely. 

        *** 

        (Kibum) 

        "Yesung is dead." Sungmin sobbed. 

        "Shh I know, I know." Kibum did not really know how to comfort people. 

        "I want my Yesung." Sungmin cried. 

        "From now on, we kill everyone we see, alright?" Kibum asked, "We can't just think about our friendship anymore. Its either one of us survives or we rebel and then ...." 

        None of us survive at all. Sungmin thought, finishing Kibum's sentence, "Okay." he sniffed, wiping his nose. 

        And they continued walking. 

        ***

        (Ryeowook) 

        "Kyuhyunnieeee!" Ryeowook shook the younger awake, "Wake upppp!" 

        "Mm come here." Kyuhyun said, pulling Ryeowook back into a hug, "Why are you so cute?" he asked as his hands slipped up Ryeowook's shirt. 

        "Yah!" Shindong said, annoyed, "Wait till I'm dead first and then do that!" 

        Kyuhyun grinned, "We'll be drawing alot of attention to ourselves." 

        "Alot of people in this arena who will come kill you." Shindong agreed. 

        "Don't joke about these things!" Ryeowook said, fear in his eyes. 

        "I'm sorry baby Wookie I won't anymore." Kyuhyun gave his lips a quick peck. 

        "Who's there?" they heard a voice shout. 

        The 3 boys exchanged alarmed looks, "Fight or hide?" Shindong asked. 

        "Hide!" Ryeowook said. 

        "Fight!" Kyuhyun said. 

        "So me and Kyuhyun fight and Ryeowook hides?" Shindong asked, confused. 

        "No! We all hide!" and Ryeowook grabbed them and dragged them behind some bushes before they could protest. 

        "I said who's there?" Ryeowook could see Kibum walk into the clearing where they had been. 

        "Look, there are some supplies here." Sungmin pointed. 

        "Take them." Kibum ordered, "And then we find the owners." 

        Sungmin hurried to obey and scooped up the packs, "A pack of crackers, 3 bottles of water, and 3 knives." he informed Kibum. 

        Ryeowook wanted to sigh with relief, at least all their other better weapons were already with them. 

        "Who do you think it belongs to?" Sungmin asked. 

        "Not those 4 that we left last night, thats for sure, and I don't think its Siwon either. Must be one of these: Eunhyuk, Donghae, Shindong, Henry, Kyuhyun, and Ryeowook. I couldn't really hear their voices clearly just now, but I'm guessing there are at least 2 of them." Kibum said. 

        Kyuhyun gave Ryeowook a nod and lifted his spear and mimed throwing it, Ryeowook nodded back, he couldn't protest anyway. Kyuhyun aimed it at Kibum and threw, "Bummie watch out!" Sungmin screamed and Kibum whirled around and lifted his shield that he had gotten from the cornucopia just in time. The spear bounced to the ground, "WHO'S THERE?" Kibum shouted again, angrily walking in their direction. 

        "Shi-!" Shindong swore and lifted his gun, it was the only gun they had, he shot and it hit Kibum's shield, it bounced right off and flew high and far into the sky before falling into a tree 100 meters away. 

        "Shindong?" A scream from the direction that the bullet had gone suddenly pierced the air, "What?" 

        "What was that?" Kyuhyun shouted, getting up. 

        "It came from there! Thats where the bullet went!" Sungmin pointed, "It must've hit someone!" 

        "Never mind that!" Kibum yelled, "Take care of these three first!" 

        "Three? I only see two." Sungmin frowned. 

        "If Kyuhyun is here so is Ryeowook!" Kibum shouted. 

        *** 

        (Siwon) 

        He screamed as something entered his body and the pain filled him,  and he fell unconscious. When he woke up, he was still strapped into his tree. He picked up his water bottle and carefully washed the wound clean before wrapping it up with some bandages he had gotten. But of course it wasn't enough. Because he had not pulled out the bullet, how could he? It had gone much too deep, all he could do was hope that he would be able to hold out long enough until the games ended. 

        But he was already very weak, and he wondered, where had the bullet come from? No one was around that area, that much he knew, so who shot it and from where? If that person wasn't near his tree, how did he know he was up there? Nothing made sense. All he could do now was take a sip of water, a bite of rabbit, and rest. 

        When Siwon woke up again he felt even weaker, he thought about taking off the bandages and trying to dig out of the bullet, but decided against it, he had tried already earlier, but it had buried itself much to deep into his flesh, and his wound was gigantic and he was still bleeding. He wasn't going to last long unless he had a proper operation. 

        Was he really going to die here, alone and friendless? He wondered. Don't worry umma, appa, I'll make it back. 

        ***

        (Kyuhyun) 

        Sungmin and Kibum fought until Shindong picked up 2 spears and a sword and charged at them, thats when they ran for their lives. And no one followed them, probably because Shindong was exhausted and Ryeowook was busy tending to Kyuhyun's wounds. His entire face and body were covered with cuts and his chest had been slashed by Kibum's sword. It had bled heavily at first, but now that Ryeowook had cleaned it and done god knows what else to it, there was only a pale, thin line left on his chest. 

        "Hows it going?" Shindong asked, collapsing beside them 

        "Its not bad as I thought, it looked terrible but its just a small but really long cut that was bleeding alot, now that the blood has stopped and I put some herbs on it, he'll be fine." 

        Everyone was quiet for a second, and then- "Ryeowook spent alot of time at the herbs and plants station and medical station." Kyuhyun stated. 

          Shindong nodded,  "Yea, I noticed, and its a good thing about the herbs too, because we have absolutely no proper medicine at all."
