Chapter 17: Avenging Yemin

(Kibum) 

        "Water?" Kris offered Kibum, holding out a glass of water, "Or coffee?" 

        Kibum just shook his head. 

        "Kibummie, you need to drink something." Leeteuk frowned, "You need your strength." 

        "You need to eat too." Heechul pointed out, "But all the food," he pointed to Shindong, "Is with that guy." 

        "I don't want anything." Kibum said, still refusing. 

        "You are going to at least drink." Kangin said firmly, forcing a glass of water into Kibum's hand, "I know you're focused on avenging Yemin by taking District 14-" 

        Yemin. Kangin said it as if they are one. He knows I am doing this to help avenge Yesung for Sungmin. Yemin. "Don't." Kibum said harshly, "Call them Yemin." 

        Kangin opened his mouth to argue but Leeteuk rested his hands on Kangin's shoulder and gave him a look. Kangin nodded, indicating that he understood and he walked away, taking Heechul and Shindong with him so that Leeteuk could talk to Kibum alone. 

        "Look, I know it's hard-" Leeteuk began. 

        "What's hard? Nothing's hard for me!"

        "Please listen." Leeteuk started over, "I know you loved Sungmin, a lot. And that he loved Yesung. And you came here to help Yesung's district for Sungmin... ahh, how can I say it? You are here to avenge Yesung because Sungmin can't do it." 

        "Don't talk about him like that." Kibum said sharply. 

       Leeteuk said, "I know it's hard! I miss them too Kibum! You're not the only one who lost friends in this!" And with that he walked away, leaving Kibum to ponder over what he had said.

(Donghae) 

        "It's not fair," Donghae sighed, "Kibum is one of the youngest but he gets to go while we are stuck in this boring place." 

        "You know why." Eunhyuk said, "You know why Kibum has to go." they shared a knowing look. 

        "Do you think the capitol has a way of bringing people back to life?" Henry asked suddenly. 

        This time, all four of them, Eunhyuk, Donghae, Kyuhyun, and Ryeowook shared a look, knowing he was thinking of Zhoumi, "Henry." Eunhyuk said gently, "Even the capitol can't do that, it's impossible." 

        "But-" 

        "They'll live forever." Eunhyuk pointed to his chest, "In our hearts." 

        "I miss Zhoumi." Henry sniffed. 

        "I know how you feel-" 

        "No! You don't!" Henry shouted, suddenly getting to his feet, "You don't know how you guys hurt me! Or Kibum! Or Heechul, anyone who was close to someone who died! Because you guys still have each other! Ryeowook and Kyuhyun have each other! And you and Donghae have each other! And when I see you together it makes me miss him even more! You DON'T know how I feel!" 

        "Henry." Donghae whispered. 

        "YOU MAKE KIBUM AND HEECHUL FEEL THE SAME WAY I DO! YOU KNOW? SEEING ALL THESE COUPLES MAKES THEM MISS SUNGMIN AND HANGENG HYUNG! JUST LIKE IT MAKES ME MISS ZHOUMI!" Henry screamed and stomped out of the room in anger.
