Chapter 50: Captured

(Eunhyuk)

"Got it!" Just these two words from Luhan made Eunhyuk quit prancing around and pay attention.

"Alright." Kris said, dusting his hands, "Robot, where is President Youngmin?" he asked.

"In - his - private - quarters." The robot answered, it's voice sounded even shakier than before.

"Yeah, well where in this fucking place is that?" Kris said, losing his temper once more.

The robot began to give out instructions.

"I got this!" Xiumin said as he followed the robot's directions. They went way up to the 10th floor.

"That - room." The robot announced, pointing to a glittering golden door.

"Of course." Eunhyuk muttered, "While we starve in the Districts his own door is made out of solid gold." he felt another burst of hatred towards this man.

"Do we just walk in?" Donghae asked, he too was looking very nervous. Eunhyuk decided that he had to stay strong for Donghae, he kissed Donghae's cheek and held his hand. "I love you." he whispered.

"We don't just walk in." Xiumin scoffed, "We fly in, with style." and before anyone could ask what that meant he pressed a button and blasted the solid gold door to smithereens.

"That was solid gold!" Eunhyuk moaned unhappily as Xiumin flew right in. And there, sitting at a nice little table drinking tea, was President Kim Youngmin himself. He did not even act surprised to see them. He was just drinking tea, as if this were just any normal day instead of a day with war. "You're here." he said, a little smile on his face.

(Donghae)

Donghae did not really understand what was going on. Why was the President just sitting there drinking tea calmly?

"Sit ... sit..." President Kim Youngmin invited.

"What the fuck, he's lost his mind." Kangin whispered.

Eunhyuk instinctively raised his gun.

"Oh, you don't wanna do that." The President laughed. "You'll want to save me for the person who deserves to kill me."

"I don't understand." Donghae said, one by one, they all raised their guns.

"Wouldn't you be happier if oh ... say your little friend Kibum or Henry got to kill me instead? Kibum would not hesitate, you know."

"What is this?" Kris snarled.

"How about I make you an offer." The President smiled his ugly, yellow smile, "If you spare me, I will show you where your friends dead bodies are."

Eunhyuk could not help it, he began to consider this, he wanted to keep his friends.

"Don't," Kris snarled at all three of them, "Even think about it."

"I can still show them to you." Kim Youngmin clapped three times.

"What-?"

5 peacekeepers entered the room, their movements jerky and robotic.

"Say hello to your old friends." Kim Youngmin told them with another ugly smile.

The faces of the peacekeepers belonged to their deceased friends.

"Don't listen to him!" Kris shouted, his fellow soldiers seemed to be frozen on the spot.

"Hangeng, Zhoumi, Siwon, Sungmin, Yesung, why don't you greet your friends?" President Youngmin asked.

"You're sick!" Kris shouted, "Don't believe him! It's not them!"

"Is that really their flesh ..." Donghae collapsed onto the floor, sobbing violently.

"IT'S NOT REAL!" Kris screamed, "HE JUST MADE THESE ROBOTS LOOK LIKE THEM!"

But this had unhinged Eunhyuk as well, he fell on the ground beside Donghae. And to Donghae's shame, it made him feel better, like he was not the only weak one.

Kangin was the only one the three tributes who stood his ground, his expression calm but his entire body shaking, he shot the robot that was Hangeng. Then Zhoumi.

Chen stepped in to help, he shot Siwon and Sungmin, and Lay, who looked a bit pale, stepped forward to finish off the Yesung robot, all of this happened in less than 10 seconds, the robots did not even have time to retaliate.

"Shoot the President too, before he calls for more back up." Luhan told Kangin, but Kangin had better plans, he shot the President's leg and he gasped in pain and fell onto the floor. "Tie him up." Kangin commanded, "We'll take him back and decide what to do with him together."

(Ryeowook)

Ryeowook was not sure how he felt when one of their hovercrafts landed and out came Kris, Luhan, Lay, Tao, Chen, Xiumin, Kangin, Donghae, Eunhyuk and President Kim Youngmin, tied up and bleeding heavily.

"We should all punish him together." Kangin spat, pushing Kim Youngmin at Ryeowook's feet.

Ryeowook was sitting outside in the sun with Heechul, Henry in his wheelchair, and Leeteuk, Kyuhyun, and Kibum in theirs, though those, unlike Henry's, were just normal wheelchairs.

"Kiss their feet." Kangin snarled, kicking the President's back.

"Kangin stop!" Ryeowook squealed, he could not bare to see such violence, even if he had shot people before, and twisted a girl's arm until it broke, he had never seen anyone look so helpless before.

The President hurriedly kissed their feet, "Please, don't." Ryeowook started crying and Kibum and Kyuhyun put their arms around him. Ryeowook pushed them off and knelt on the ground beside the once powerful man, he too was sobbing.

"Don't cry, we'll treat your wound, okay?" he said soothingly, he felt his heart breaking for the man. Yes, he was the one who had taken so many lives, including Ryeowook's friends, but no one deserved to be treated like this. Ryeowook did not believe that retaliation was the right way to solve things.

"I want to say sorry, to all 10 of you. It is much easier to do this now that I am dying." Kim Youngmin sobbed, "I am a cruel man, and I apologize for everything I have done, even though I know this apology isn't enough."

"Damn right it isn't enough!" Kangin and Heechul shouted together.

"If you weren't about to die, you wouldn't be sorry." Kibum accused.

"True." The old President wept, "But now that I am facing death, I realize my wrongs, isn't this how most people realize it? When they are about to die."

"Hold on a second." Kyuhyun frowned, he had just realized something, "The rebels and peacekeepers don't know we have the President, they're still fighting. And where is Shindong?"

Their eyes met and widened as it hit them : Shindong was still in the battle.
