Chapter 19: Memories

(Kyuhyun) 

        Ryeowook slowly turned around, "He...he thinks we killed Hangeng?" 

        Kyuhyun nodded, "Some of the scientists here looked at the bullet...it seemed to have been designed especially for Heechul. Like, the poison is targeted at him." 

        "Which probably means that they have one for all of us." Eunhyuk said, slowly realizing. 

        "Oh God." Ryeowook said as his tears started falling, "What's he like now?" 

        "He strangled Leeteuk, but Leeteuk is fine now," Kyuhyun said, "We're hoping that maybe ... just maybe, he'll remember one of you? He was pretty close to all three of you, you know how worried and protective he was of Ryeowook..."  Just saying Ryeowook's name made him feel broken, was Ryeowook really mad at him? 

        "I want to see him!" Donghae said. 

        Ryeowook and Eunhyuk nodded, showing that they agreed. 

        "Follow me." Kyuhyun took them to the hospital room, he spoke to some guards so that they could accompany the boys into the room, just in case there was any trouble. 

        Ryeowook slowly stepped into the room and let out a gasp of shock, there was Heechul, with dark circles under his eyes and a snarl on his face. 

        "Heechul-" Kyuhyun said in a soothing voice. 

        "Murderer! You murdered my Hangeng!" Heechul accused him and tried to break free of his restraints. 

        "No, hyung it wasn't me. Hyung, please...look at them." Kyuhyun pointed to the other three boys, "Do you remember them?" 

        Heechul looked at Eunhyuk and Donghae, hatred on his face, but then he saw Ryeowook, and his expression softened, "You." he said, "I know you."  

        "Hyung it's me." Ryeowook, a pleading note in his voice, "Ryeowook." 

        "I don't know who you are, but I've seen you before." Heechul frowned in concentration, trying to remember, "Who were you? You weren't one of the people who killed Hangeng too, were you?" He glared at Kyuhyun, Donghae, and Eunhyuk accusingly. 

        "No hyung, and they didn't either." Ryeowook said. Kyuhyun felt glad that Ryeowook was defending them. Ryeowook's so sweet that Heechul can kind of remember him. Kyuhyun thought with pride. 

        "They did! I remember! If you're on their side then go away!" Heechul said angrily. 

        "No hyung, that's a fake memory." Ryeowook took another step towards Heechul, and then another and another, getting closer and closer. No! Kyuhyun thought panicking, He might hurt you.

(Ryeowook) 

        Inside, Ryeowook felt scared, his heart was beating fast and he was breathing too hard, but he had to make Heechul trust him again. He walked towards his hyung, closer and closer, until finally he was right beside him. He took a deep breath and then put his hand in Heechul's, "Hyung? Do you remember me now?"  

(Kyuhyun) 

        He held Heechul's hand, does he still like me? Has he forgiven me yet? Will he take me back? These thoughts swirled around Kyuhyun's head as Ryeowook took Heechul's hand.

(Ryeowook) 

        "No... I remember that you were in my life, I don't remember what role you played in it, but you are good right? If so get away from those people or they will hurt you like they hurt me!" Heechul tried to get up again but once again his restraints pulled him back down, "They killed my boyfriend, the person that loved me the most, and that I loved the most." he growled.
