I'm leaving on a jetplane... not!

It took several hours for Stevie to get to the airport from her apartment. The bus was really late and really s l o w. She thought about taking a cab but didn't have the money, and she didn't want to use her power for the entire cab ride in order to get a free ride. Plus, what if she got in the cab, and the driver was someone whom her power wouldn't work on? It only worked on certain people, and she couldn't afford to chance it. So she waited, and by the time she got to the airport, the sun was already mostly set.

She had been standing at a backed-up ticket counter for 20 minutes when she heard the screaming start. Instinctively, she figured - with the horror-movie day she was having - that it had something to do with her. She turned around and confirmed that, yep, it had to do with her.

Dr. Scott was clawing and slashing his way through the crowds with his smashed up bloody face, coming right for Stevie. With him was Jodi, who looked pale and also had fangs. Stevie saw what looked like 4 bloody bullet wounds in her neck. She then noticed the 3 other student interns, also coming right for her with the same fangs and wounds in their necks.

Stevie decided to run. Her powers only worked at close distance, and she wasn't sure how much help it would be considering 2 of the 5 people chasing her were straight girls, 1 was a gay man, and only two were straight men.

Yep. She could only use her power on people who were attracted to her 🥴 She turned it on and could see a pale red aura around Dr. Scott and Ian, the other straight guy. Pale red meant they at least thought she was pretty, but nothing too special. She couldn't have total mind control over them, but she could control their movements from a closer range.

Stevie ran outside and the vampire cohorts followed. When they were close enough, Stevie made the two straight guys each tackle one other vampire and pin them to the ground. Stevie ran into the airport traffic jam, and only vampire Jodi was left to follow her.

"Jodi please! Leave me alone," Stevie yelled. She didn't want to be turned into a gross dead vampire monster thing.

"I can't. I must serve Lord DIO. That fortune teller was right, he's so handsome and charming and dangerous," Jodi said. "And wouldn't you know, he want to meet my best friend!"

She pinned Stevie to a van stuck in traffic. "He'll be so happy with me when I bring you to him!" Jodi hissed.

In a last ditch effort, Stevie grabbed Jodi's arms and used the same electric shock she used on her bullies in middle school. Jodi shrieked and began to crumble into dust in Stevie's hands.

"Jodi??!" Stevie screamed. But she couldn't stand around mourning her friend.

Remembering Avdol's advice, Stevie ran.
