*a day later*
I got in my uniform and got ready for work I walked downstairs grabbing my phone
"Dad I'm leaving for work ." I said
"Wait one more time ." He said shoving a thermometer in my mouth
"Okay your temperature is the same as earlier ." He said taking it out of my mouth
"Are you sure your felling okay ?" He asked
"Yes dad you took my temperature five times this morning within a hour .. I'm good ." I said
"I know I just wanna make sure ."
"I know dad but thank you for taking care of me." I said
"You would do the same for me ." He said as I left
I got to the station
"Your late." Nancy said hugging me
"I know my dad wanted to shove a thermometer in my mouth 5 times this morning." I said laughing as we pulled out of the hug
"V did the same to me she was like "are you sure your feeling okay ..?" Nancy said
"Why aren't they best friends ." I said laughing
As Tommy came up to us
"We'll if it isn't the sick twins ." She said holding a bag
"Very funny ." We both said
"Here you go ." She said handing us each a hoodie
"Since when did medical have hoodies ."
"Since now there's two others just like that in y'all lockers just incase someone pukes on there's per say..." Tommy said
"I swear how did you even hear about that ?" I said
"Drama spreads like a wildfire thru the 126 ." Nancy said laughing
"You make the cornetist puns about calls we've been on ." I said shaking my head at her
"And you love me for it ." She said
"Whatever helps you sleep at night." I said
