I was cleaning up the kitchen from dinner when Tk came in thru the door looking tired and upset

"I'm late I know I'm sorry ." Tk said closing the door

"T it's fine come here." I said opening my arms

" I promised Ellie I would read to her so imma go do that ." Tk said heading upstairs

I went upstairs after closing everything downstairs
I came into TK's and my room seeing Tk lying in bed cuddling a pillow as a few tears rolled down his face

"Hey.. what's wrong ?" I said getting into bed looking in his eyes

Tk didn't say anything he just stared at the pillow

"Rough shift ?" I asked Tk stroking his hair

Tk stayed silent again holding the pillow

"Did something happen at your dads chemo follow up appointment?" I said as Tk nodded

Tk sat up in bed looking at me

"They said that it got worse and that it was at the extent of no return .." Tk said as multiple tears rolled down his face

"They gave him 2 months at most .." Tk said crying gripping on to the pillow

I slowly took the pillow from Tk

"What do they expect me to just Sit back and watch him die ?" Tk said tears rolling down his face

"I can't just watch my dad die Carlos I can't ." Tk said crying

I held him in my arms kissing him on the head repeatedly

"I got you ." I said as he buried his head in my chest crying

"Shhh ... I got you ." I said

" I can't just watch him die ." Tk said crying

" I have to do something.. something to help him get better ." Tk said sniffling

"I know but sometimes there's nothing you can do .." I said kissing his head

Tk pulled his head back from my chest exposing his emerald green eyes now red and flushed

"I'll be back .." Tk said

"Where are you going ?" I said rubbing his hand

" imma go get some air I'll be in the backyard." Tk said
