After I hung up the phone with Carlos I heard footsteps down the steps looking back seeing Paul
"It's cute ." He said joining me in the kitchen
"Hm?" I questioned his remark
"How you guys make sure each other are okay ." He said
"Oh your heard that I'm guessing." I said
"Some... so why are you up ?" He asked getting a coffee and sliding another one to me
"Thanks . I couldn't sleep what about you you are missing Out on your beauty sleep ." I joked sipping my coffee
"Same very funny strand I will kill you .."
"How's it going with Lola ?" I asked
"We broke up .. she claimed I wasn't man enough ." He said as a down look appeared
"Shut man I'm sorry ." I said
"It's not your fault can I ask you a question?"
"Shoot ." I said putting my
mug in the sink
"What did Carlos mean when he said he put you in this predicament." He asked
"He quit his job because of his asshole co workers they told him to spray gas at peaceful protesters and when he refused they told him to stop taking care of his people ." I said leaning on the counter
" wow what jerks is he okay ?"
"He's getting better wouldn't be the first time ."
"Did you talk to him about you wanting to adopt another kid ?" Paul asked
"No it didn't seem like the right time ."
"Well I think that while he's off to maybe talk about it with him .." Paul said
"Thanks for the insight Sherlock Paul ." I said
"Just don't sike yourself out ." He said rubbing my Back
