Moments later, the door opened. "Time for some medicine." A cheerful nurse spoke up. Ezra squeaked as she eyed the two needles. They couldn't have known that she was deathly afraid of needles, but as Ezra began shaking and crying hysterically, they feared the worse.

"Ezra, baby, what's wrong?" Jansen asked her as she scooted closer to him and away from the nurse. "I think she's afraid of needles." The nurse said sadly. "Honey, it won't hurt much. It's going to make you feel better." Ezra shook her head violently as her tears poured. "Papa! Please!" Jansen looked down at Ezra as she shook and cried. "Is this really necessary?" Jansen hated seeing her like this, but hearing her call him Papa made his protectiveness come to the forefront. "I have to. I'm sorry. Can you hold her still?" Jackson, Jace and Jacob watched as their parents tried to calm a frantic Ezra. "Let us try." Jackson spoke up walking over to a shaking Ezra. "Princess, you know you're tougher than this." He tried to joke as he held her in his arms. Jacob rubbed her leg and smiled at her. "Look at us," Jackson said stroking her hair.

The nurse took the opportunity to inject the first needle causing Ezra to stiffen and yelp. "You're doing so good, baby girl." They all smiled down at her and Jansen and Celeste took it all in. The nurse injected the second needle. "This will make you sleepy here shortly." She placed the band-aid where the needle once was and smiled. "All done." Ezra looked from her arm to the nurse to everyone around and felt embarrassed. "I'm sorry. I'm just really afraid of needles." The nurse nodded before situating her in the bed. "I understand. My daughter is the same way." She looked over at Jansen and Celeste and smiled. "She'll need her rest soon, but you're more than welcome to stay with her. Her temperature is still above 102, so we're going to come in periodically to check if its broken."

They all nodded at her before she left and looked down at a delirious Ezra. She began giggling. "They gave you the good stuff," Jackson smirked at her. "You would know." She quipped back before sticking out her tongue. Jace and Jacob laughed at that. "I love you." Ezra said to them causing them to stiffen. None of them looked at their parents. "We love you too silly girl. Now get some sleep," Jacob tried to recover. "Mama, Papa," Ezra called out. Jansen and Celeste were at her side. "What is it, sweetie?" Celeste looked down at her smiling face. "Thank you for everything. For taking me in. For introducing me to them." Ezra pointed at the boys. "You're the best bonus parents a girl could ask for." Her smile was infectious. Celeste felt the tears in her eyes. "We're beyond blessed to have you in our lives, beautiful girl."

After squeezing Celeste's hand, Ezra yawned and then nodded off. Celeste wiped her eyes and sighed happily. "She really is something isn't she." Jansen said with a smile. "Yeah, she is," Jace replied. "We're going to stay here with her tonight. You guys fill in Marisol and then head home." Jacob shook his head. "We want to stay here with her." Jansen smiled at his son. "I'm happy to see that you all care for Ezra as much as we do. She is definitely a part of this family and having a little sister looks good on you guys." They all cringed at what their father said. "I need you guys to get her a change of clothes for tomorrow when she's discharged." Celeste instructed. "Plus, you're going to school right after." They all groaned. "Can't we skip?" Both parents shook their heads no. "Now get going. One of you bring the clothes before you head off to school."

They nodded before looking down at Ezra once more. They each wanted to kiss her lips, but knew that was out of the question. They settled on kissing her forehead before leaving. "That was the scariest shit I've ever experienced." Jacob said as Jackson drove them home. "She looked so helpless and small." Jace's mind was littered with images of her having a seizure. "She's going to be fine though. Thank goodness." They all nodded. "She almost gave us away back there," Jacob chuckled. "Yeah, hospital drugs are the best, but they can be a little too good." Jackson smirked. "How do you feel about her calling Mom and Dad bonus parents?" Jacob and Jackson shrugged. "It makes sense. They're the only stable parental figures she's had in years and they love her like a daughter." Jace nodded. "True, but that doesn't make her our fucking sister." They agreed vehemently.
