Ezra Cole never thought she'd find peace or happiness. As an orphan bounced around from bad foster home to the next, she had given up hope. That was until she met the Scotts.
The Scotts were unlike anything she'd ever experienced and exceeded her e...
The following months were rough. Jacoby was a terror in utero and all Ezra could think about was Celeste describing Jacob as one too. She cursed Jacob out every chance she got for the pains, heartburn and endless vomiting. It all worthwhile as Jacoby's birth was beyond easy in comparison to Jade.
Jade came a week late and with a grand entrance that lasted 12 hours. Jacoby took an hour to arrive including the moment her water broke. They stared at him in awe. Jade had fair skin that was common to most mixed babies, but Jacoby had Ezra's dark skin with black curls and the most vibrant blue eyes they'd ever seen.
He looked just like Jacob. There was no denying his son, but genetics were crazy their father reminded them.

Jace was able to make the birth of his son and was beyond pleased. He only got two weeks to be with them before he was requested back on the field and it killed him. He was shocked when Jacob announced he was done with Broadway, but he got it.
He was missing moments and memories with his family. Every time he left Jade would cry big tears that wrecked him. Jackson joked that she was probably his biologically with how close the two were. He couldn't stand that he missed her getting her first tooth, her first steps, etc.
Ezra and him had talked about waiting to have a child together. She wanted at least Jade to be potty trained before they started and he wanted a logical plan in place for the NFL before that happened. He couldn't keep missing his children's lives.
Jade was only 13 months, but wanted to be the most helpful big sister. She didn't call him by his name, but rather Bubba. Jackson thought it was hilarious, so they rolled with it. Jacoby was a little star everywhere he went. He just seemed to turn up the charm and Jacob loved it. He was proud that his son was a copy of him.
Jackson, Jacob and Ezra had figured out a groove. Jacob was working at Downey much to his chagrin and Jackson was elevating in his career. He was thankful for the opportunity to practice law and take on a few pro bono cases for those in need in minority communities.
Ezra was loving teaching, but she felt like she was missing out on her kids. They toyed with the idea of her staying at home and maybe picking up a side hustle as a vocal coach or something, but she didn't take them seriously. They reminded her that they were rich despite her still not getting used to that fact and that she could afford to raise their children with a more hands on approach.
She talked to Jace about it and he agreed with his brothers. He didn't want all of the parents not in the picture even for a millisecond. Ezra knew the topic was touchy for him and sighed. Jace had been killing it football wise and she knew that meant his mind was a chaotic field.
The Patriots had made it to the Super Bowl once more, but it was happening the weekend of Jade's 2nd birthday. Jace was a wreck. They both tried explaining it to Jade over FaceTime, but she just cried and called out for Jace. "Papa!" She screamed as she tried to reach for the laptop screen.
