The game was a good one and Ezra's enthusiasm was infectious. "Let's go, Cowboys! Let's go!" Ezra cheered loudly as the rest of them laughed along. The two teams were tied and Ezra could hardly believe it. As the halftime performance began Ezra stood up to get something to snack on. Jace had tried caressing her hand multiple times while they were seated next to another, but she was quick to move. She was still angry at him for what he said to Mason. She made a quick fruit bowl and grabbed a water before sitting beside Jacob and Jackson. "You having fun, baby girl?" Ezra nodded happily as she popped a pineapple chunk in her mouth. "I wish I was out there though. The energy is just different."
They all talked amongst themselves as the game picked back up. They were in the fourth quarter and the score was at 13 – 13. "Do you want to go watch the rest of the game from the bleachers on the Cowboys side?" Jansen asked Ezra with a smile. The look on Ezra's face was comical. She nodded her head like the happiest toddler. "I don't want you going by yourself though." Jace stood up. "I'll go with her." Ezra was too happy to argue. She grabbed Jace's hand and flew out of the suite barely hearing their laughter. They found decent seats in the bleachers and Jace watched Ezra enamored. She was so invested in the game as the Cowboys made a play. A time out was called and Ezra finally took a seat. "I'm mad at you." She finally said. "I'm sorry, Princess." Ezra shook her head. "I know you don't like him because of what happened with Eliana, but that was an accident. I'm sure he thinks about his actions relating to that every day without you glaring at him every chance you get. You're my boyfriend, Jace, but he's my friend. I need you to be okay with that." Jace looked down into her pleading eyes and sighed. "I don't want anything to happen to you, Princess. I don't know what I'd do if anything happened to you." Ezra grabbed his hand and interlaced their fingers. She smiled at the contrast in color before looking into his ocean blue eyes.
"Nothing is going to happen to me. I'm yours and you're mine. That's all that matters." Jace smiled at her before squeezing her hand three times. "Can I keep you?" Ezra looked down at their hands before looking into his eyes with a tearful smile. "You mean it?" Jace nodded while caressing her cheek. "I love you." Ezra didn't care that they were out in public. She leaned in and kissed her boyfriend with so much passion it was electric. At that moment the crowd around them stood up cheering as the Cowboys made a game winning touchdown. "I love you." Ezra yelled as she rested her forehead on his. Jace smiled brightly at her confession. "I've never had a girlfriend, Princess. I've never been in love. I don't know what all to do, but I do know that I want to be the best boyfriend to you. I won't hurt you." Ezra held his face in her hands and kissed his lips gently. "I was made to love you." She breathed out before letting him go.
They hung out and watched the replay of the game winning touchdown causing Ezra to scream happily. They made their way back to the suite where everyone laughed at Ezra's animated reaction to the game. "This was the best night!" Ezra smiled happily looking at Jace. "It was a good night, wasn't it?" Jansen asked pleased with the trip. "It was, but now it's time to fly home. You kiddos have school tomorrow." Jacob groaned as they made their way out of the stadium and to the SUVs. Ezra didn't have a choice but to ride with the boys as Jace all but yanked her to the back row and proceed to capture her lips possessively. Mason tried not to look, but couldn't help it. "She's happy," Jacob whispered to him. "That's all that should matter." Mason looked at him for a moment before nodding and turning forward in his seat.
Jace didn't want to let her go, but he knew he had to as they exited their vehicles and entered the jet. Ezra covered her mouth as she let out a big yawn. "Tired, honey?" Celeste asked rubbing her back. Ezra nodded tiredly before taking a seat on the couch with Celeste. She pulled Ezra down so that her head could rest in her lap and her feet tucked underneath her. Celeste rubbed her back gently and smiled as she soon heard soft snores. Jansen took a seat at Ezra's feet and smiled. He was happy. His family was in a great place and he owed a lot of it to the sleeping beauty beside him. The plane ride was a quiet one as everyone seemed to be lost in their own thoughts. The rumbling of the jet and Ezra's light snoring filled the plane.
"She's so fucking cute," Jacob said looking at his girlfriend. "Yeah, she is and she's all ours." Jackson smiled. "I told her I loved her." Jace confessed with a smile. "We did too. She makes us happy. How could we not be in love with her?" Jackson stared at his sleeping girlfriend and sighed happily. "We have to do something about him." Jace glared as he watched a sleeping Mason. "There's nothing to do, Jace. Ezra has expressed multiple times that they're friends and we respect that. You have to as well." He scoffed at his younger brothers. "He likes her and I'll be damned if he tries any of that bullshit he did with Eliana. I can't lose Ezra. I won't."
Jackson and Jacob knew that Jace took Eliana's death hard. They could only imagine what he was thinking comparing a similar outcome happening to Ezra. He didn't even love Eliana and he felt the weight of her absence. They knew if he lost Ezra, he'd be a changed man. "Nothing is going to happen to Ezra. She's too much of survivor to let anything bad occur." Jacob assured before patting his brother on the shoulder. Jace nodded at his words before staring longingly at his sleeping girl. They had all confessed their love to one another and that propelled their relationship a step further. He was excited to see how things progressed.
Jansen carried Ezra into the waiting SUV. The boys piled in the back, while Ezra lay sleeping on Jansen's shoulder. Celeste was so happy. Her family looked like a family again. She knew Jansen was afraid of having a girl, because it meant being wrapped around another finger, but it was obvious he was smitten with Ezra. He kissed the top of her forehead like a doting father and she loved it. They were insatiable on the island, but seeing him here acting all fatherly revved her up in the most intimate of ways. "You're going to get it when we get home," Celeste whispered in his ear. Jansen looked at his wife with surprised eyes before smirking.
When they got home, Jackson took Ezra from his father. "We've got it." He said as they made their way upstairs. Celeste grabbed Jansen's hand and led him to their room with a quickness. Jackson laid Ezra down on Jacob's bed and smiled. "Strip her down." Jacob said a bit too lustfully. "You're not fucking her," Jace retorted getting one of Jacob's shirts. "I know that," Jacob said unconvincingly. Jackson stripped her down to her underwear and stared at the bruises on her arm. "I'm never going to hurt her like that again," Jackson vowed before putting Jacob's shirt on her. They believed him and just shot him a nod and smile. She slept like the dead. They couldn't believe she could sleep through all of this. "She must be really tired." Jace observed as Ezra huddled into fetal position. "All that excitement must have worn her out." Jackson smiled as he leaned down to give her a kiss on the lips. Jace followed suit before they headed to their own bedrooms.
Jacob stripped down naked before hopping in the shower. He came back to find his girlfriend still in a peaceful slumber. He got in next to her and wrapped his arm possessively around her waist. "I love you." Jacob whispered in the dark before nuzzling closer to her and falling into a peaceful sleep.
Ezra woke up to something long and hard poking her and realized she was sleeping with Jacob. Her hand found his member before she began stroking him. "Sweetheart, if you keep that up, I'm going to fuck you." Ezra giggled at him before stopping. Jacob groaned. "Don't stop. Let me just put the tip in." Ezra laughed heartily before hitting him on the shoulder.
"Time to get ready for school," Ezra smiled happily. "Babe, you don't have to wake up this early to get ready." Ezra kissed his lips before getting out of bed. "I do. Your parents are back, so no more sleeping in with you guys. Also, I promised Mason I'd meet up with him at Jitters to go over some French homework." Jacob groaned before turning over on his back. "Fine, but come give me a kiss first." Ezra shook her head. "You have nothing but ulterior motives swimming around in those eyes of yours. No thanks." Ezra waved quickly before darting over to her room.
