Ezra was in French class for a total of five minutes before she was called into the principal's office. She already knew what it was about and was over it. Jace and Jacob watched her leave and worried that she would get into trouble over Charlotte's pettiness. As Ezra walked into the principal's office, she saw Charlotte sitting there with crocodile tears in her eyes and scoffed. Ezra knew she should have risen above, but she was tired of Charlotte. Everywhere she turned there she was scowling or trying to ruin her relationship with Jace. She had it, enough was enough. "Ms. Cole, I'm sure you know why I called you here." Mrs. Allen said to her sternly. "I am. You called me here to find out what truly happened in the cafeteria when Ms. St. Germain slandered me and then attacked me in front of the entire senior class. I'm sure we can ask any one of them what happened and my rendition of the events will come out as true."

Mrs. Allen looked at Charlotte. "Is this true, Ms. St. Germain? You attacked first?" Charlotte tried crying, but when that got her nowhere, she huffed out. "Yes, but that bitch stole my boyfriend. She deserved it!" Ezra looked at Mrs. Allen as to say 'I told you so.' The principal shook her head before looking between the two of them. "Ms. St. Germain, we don't tolerate violence on campus. As punishment you will have detention for two weeks and will no longer be able to attend the homecoming dance." Charlotte was livid. "You fucking bitch!" She screamed lunging for Ezra who was quick to dodge her. "Ms. St. Germain do you want to be suspended as well!" Mrs. Allen yelled to deaf ears. Charlotte was a woman possessed as she scratched and flung herself towards Ezra. Ezra did her best dodging her while Mrs. Allen called security, but Charlotte slipped through and scratched her hairline right where her stitches were.

Ezra let out a scream as blood began pouring. It was the wakeup call Charlotte needed to get her to stop. "Ms. Cole!" Mrs. Allen shouted noticing the blood. Then security walked in taking in the scene in front of them and the wild eyes of Charlotte and handcuffing her. "Take her to the holding room until I can reach her parents." Ezra didn't want to touch the reopened wound but the blood was starting to get in her eye. She used her sweater to wipe it gently. It was already ruined. "Ms. Cole, come with me to the nurse's office next door. I'll call your parents from there."

When the bell rang Jace and Jacob were worried. Ezra had never come back. When they made their way to the principal's office, they noticed their Mom and Dad in the hall way before Ezra walked out of the nurse's office. "What the fuck?" Jace cried out as they took in the blood on her sweater and hurried towards them. Jace took Ezra in his arm and noticed the gauze on her forehead. "What happened?" He asked seriously and she could tell his anger was building. "Your ex happened." She said tiredly. "We're going to the hospital to get her stitches redone. We'll see you guys later," Jansen said as Celeste pulled Ezra into her and they made their way out.

"Charlotte is fucking crazy. Did you see all of that blood?" Jacob never liked seeing his girlfriend in pain or injured. He was still coming to terms with her past visits to the hospital. "I'm going to kill her!" Jace declared angrily, but Jacob stopped him. "You're not that guy anymore. You don't act first then think later. You have to fix this the right way, because you're the cause. We told you about Charlotte's feelings but you continued anyway knowing she wasn't listening to your 'we're just friends' bullshit. I know when Ezra said this, we laughed it off, but she might be on to something. I think you should apologize to Charlotte. Let her know you've changed and who you've changed for. Maybe that will get through her thick skull and she'll back off once and for all."

Jace knew it was the opposite of what he wanted to do, which meant it could be exactly what he needed to do. He headed to class trying to figure out a way he could calm down enough to have a civil conversation with Charlotte. He texted Jackson an update on what happened to Ezra and was met with angry words. He understood. Jackson was the one that told him from the beginning that Charlotte was bad news. He should've listened. When they all got home, they were happy to see their father's car in the garage. They made their way into the house and up to Ezra's room where she was fast asleep. They sighed before taking seats around her. They knew today was a lot for her. They knew their relationship made her look a certain way to the ignorant and dumb.
