"It's ready," Jacob whispered. Jackson nodded as he looked down at their girlfriend. "Baby girl, we're going to let you take a soak for a little bit...just to settle." Ezra shook her head vehemently. "Please don't leave me, Bubba." Her voice was filled with various emotion, but the strongest was still fear. "I won't leave you, baby girl." Jacob stepped out of the room to let them have their time. Jackson was always better at situations that called for cool heads that rarely found one. Everyone mistook him for the broody Scott brother who always wore black and tagged cities, but he was an observant, empathetic soul who had seen things that changed him for the better. Jacob made his way passed Jace and Ezra's rooms and settled into his. Dinner would be ready in an hour and a half and he hoped that was enough time for Ezra to settle and join them.
Ezra lay in the tub Jacob had filled for her. She could smell the lavender and rose oils. The hot water felt good around her and she couldn't help but inhale the sweet aroma. Jackson sat behind her on his knees outside of the tub as he massaged her shoulders. He could see her breasts, flat stomach, haven, thick legs and small feet through the water. It wasn't the time, but he couldn't help but get hard at seeing her body in all its glory. He massaged and rubbed until she was no longer tense. "I'm sorry you had to experience that, baby girl." Ezra looked ahead not saying a word. "I'm going to protect you, Ezra. I promise." She sat up and turned around to look at him.
Her big brown eyes bore into his blue ones. "You can't promise that, Jackson. You're not always going to be around to save me." Ezra sighed heavily. "The sad reality is that when a Black person is stopped by cops it may often result in a fatality. What happened to me today is so normalized that Black parents have to have a conversation with their kids about it in preparation." She turned back around hanging her head. "I know what would have happened if you didn't come out and honestly that scares me more than anything I've ever dealt with." Jackson could see the tears welling in her eyes from her reflection in the mirror across from them. "My Dad is going to take care of it, baby girl. Those cops won't ever fucking touch you again."
Ezra looked at their reflection and could see the anger in his eyes as his fists balled up. She didn't want to see that. Ezra hated seeing people angry and she realized in that moment that they were both hurting and upset. "Come here," Ezra instructed as she leaned over. He moved to kneel beside her as she cupped his face. Her wet hands ran through his long hair, wetting it a bit. "Kiss me." He looked down at her as if to see if she was sure. He didn't know if she was in shock or not, but he didn't want to take advantage of the situation if she was. "Baby girl," he started. "Jackson, I'm your girl, right?" He nodded slowly. "Your girlfriend gets whatever she wants, right?" He raised an eyebrow. "Yeah, that'll work on Jace...maybe Jacob." Ezra hit his shoulder, leaving a damp handprint on his black shirt.
"Kiss me." He obliged and leaned down to capture her lips. The kiss started off gentle and sweet, but Jackson knew the moment Ezra's tongue passed his lips what she was wanting. In seconds she was intertwining her fingers with his hair. Her nails gently scratched at the nape of his neck giving him the greatest of feelings. "Baby," Jackson said against her lips as her hand found his belt buckle. "Ezra, baby, wait." He tried to stop her. "I need you, Jackson. I need us. Just make me feel better, please. I want to feel better." He looked down in her pleading eyes and sighed. He pecked her lips before removing his watch and ring. He undid his pants and let his member spring out to life in front of her. Ezra couldn't help but lick her lips. He was beautiful.
Jackson cupped her face before kissing her passionately. They picked up right where they left off as their bodies ignited. Ezra wrapped her hand as much as possible around him as she began stroking. He grunted into her mouth as she picked up speed. His hand found its way in between her legs entering her with one digit causing her to bite down on his bottom lip before adding another finger. Ezra panted and cooed as he attacked her neck. "Yes, Jackson, right there." Ezra cried out as the water sloshed around them as he picked up speed. Ezra felt like she was preparing for lift off as she flew higher and higher above. The telltale signs of an orgasm were at its brink for the both of them causing them to speed up their movements until they were a jerking mess. Jackson stood up and jerked himself off for a second before he was emptying into the bath.
Ezra watched him in all his glory and smiled lazily. He pushed his hair back then looked at her. He matched her smile before fixing himself. "I don't like that I feel like I took advantage of you." He said lowly looking down. Ezra stood up catching his gaze before stepping out and wrapping a plush white towel around her body. "You didn't take advantage of me. Your girlfriend was hurting and you made me feel better. You made me feel safe...cared for and I needed that, Bubba." She stood in front of him and smiled a genuine smile that warmed him. "I don't usually get good things, Ezra Cole, but you're mine and you're the best darn thing I've ever gotten." She wrapped her arms around him, inhaling his scent as he did hers.
"You going to get dressed for dinner," Jackson asked hopeful that she'd join them, but prepared to be saddened if she didn't. She looked in his eyes knowing that he wanted her to join the family, but she really didn't want to be around Celeste and Jansen. She even wanted to shy away from Jace and Jacob. She felt like an embarrassment. Like somehow, she had tarnished their name to their neighbors. "I'm just going to hang out." He nodded his head in understanding before kissing her lips. "Well, here, wear this." He handed her a R. Kelly t-shirt with the word PISS on it. "You're ridiculous," she laughed as she took the shirt. "The lotion is over there and before you make a joke, I use the good shit." Jackson pointed at the Shea Butter lotion on the counter. "I'll see you after dinner." Jackson could hear her laughing as he closed the door and smiled.
Jackson made his way to the dining table to find everyone seated minus Ezra. "How is she?" Celeste asked worriedly. "She'll be okay. She's shaken up, rightfully so, but she'll be okay." They nodded their heads. "Dad, you're going to do something about those pieces of shits, right?" Jacob asked angrily. "I have a meeting with Sherriff Moore at 8 am tomorrow. It'll get handled." They all seemed satisfied with that response. Marisol exited the kitchen and began laying their dinner in front of them. It was apparent Ezra's absence could be felt by all. Celeste picked at her spinach salad and sighed. The boys ate absentmindedly with thoughts circulating Ezra.
By the time Jansen had finished his meal he was ready to go check on Ezra. He stood up causing all eyes to be on him. "I'm going to go check on her." He didn't wait for the boys to protest or Celeste to intervene. He was in front of Jackson's room in no time knocking on the door. He heard her soft voice welcoming him in and stepped inside, leaving the door ajar. Ezra was surprised to see him but smiled anyway. "Hey," she said softly from under the covers. Jansen took a seat facing her on the bed and sighed. "How'd you know I'd be in here," Ezra asked sitting up. "My sister used to have really bad anxiety. When she'd get panic attacks I'd take her to my room, which looked a lot like this one, and she'd spend the remainder of the day settling down and recouping.
Ezra nodded at him. Jackson's room was calming thanks to the dark colors. It blocked out the rest of the world and she needed that right now. "How are you feeling?" Jansen looked into her eyes and she could see the genuine fear and worry. "I'm shaken, not stirred." She tried to joke and it worked, but he knew she was deflecting. He gave her a look that said he wanted the truth. "This happens to my people all the time. I should've expected it." Jansen shook his head no. "This was not acceptable behavior and I will deal with it first thing tomorrow morning. I want you to rest up for tomorrow. I don't want you thinking about those officers or what happened on your first day." She nodded and smiled as she watched him get up to leave.
She stared at his retreating back before she spoke up. "You called me your daughter earlier." It was a statement, but she said it like a question. He turned around and gave her a soft smile. "I did. Is that okay?" She looked down at her newly painted fingernails. "I haven't known what it's like to have a Dad want you in a long time. I think I forgot what it's supposed to look like." He walked over to her and gave her forehead a kiss. "All I ask is that my kids just keep being themselves and I'll just cherish every moment, okay?" She smiled up at him and agreed. He left the room, closing the door behind him, only to be pounced on by Celeste. "You're amazing with her," she smiled. "She's a great kid." Jansen looked at his wife and saw the glint in her eyes. It had been a long while since they'd been intimate, but apparently being a good father was a turn on. "Let's go say goodnight to the boys and then talk." She whispered, but he knew from the way she sashayed her hips that talking was the last thing on her mind.
